Meet Ashley!
Ashley is a 3 year old, 30 pound spayed female beagle/hound mix ready for a home all her own.
Ashley came from a puppy mill where she knew puppies but not much kindness. Because of that, new things can feel scary to her, and her first instinct is to flee when overwhelmed. But once she feels safe with you, she transforms into the sweetest, most loving little companion. She bonds deeply, seeks affection, and truly shines.
Ashley is house trained, and we’re continuing to work on crate training and leash manners (she can be a puller when excited). She does wonderfully with other dogs and she’s actually the welcoming committee for new fosters, showing them the ropes and making friends easily. She loves to play and has a joyful, puppy like energy once she’s comfortable.
In her current foster home, she uses the doggy door, enjoys both the house and yard, and has settled into a normal routine beautifully. She’s finally getting a taste of what real dog life feels like, and she deserves a family who will continue giving her that stability, patience, and love.
She has not encountered any cats yet, but historically hounds generally aren’t the best match for cats. Because she has some energy and can startle easily, a home without young children will be best for her.
Ashley is an incredible girl with so much love to give. She just needs someone willing to meet her where she is and help her continue blossoming into the confident, happy dog she’s meant to be!

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.
All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.
We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
