Meet Wes! 👋 He is a 2-year-old, 22 lb sensitive little guy who’s still learning that people can be safe, kind, and predictable. 🤗 Wes is fully housebroken, not a fan of the crate, great with other animals, and happiest when he has a confident canine friend to follow. With time, patience, and a calm environment, this sweet boy will absolutely blossom. 💙 Wes is still figuring out the human world. 🌎 He isn’t ready for pets or snuggles yet and prefers to keep a bit of distance, especially after new or stressful experiences. 😥 He may take steps forward and then back again — that’s normal for a dog who’s learning to trust. Even so, he shows his playful side when he feels safe: tossing toys, zooming around the yard, digging little holes, and barking with joy. 🥰 Wes is dog, cat and kids 10+ friendly. He is looking for a calm, predictable environment where he can build confidence at his own pace. He is curious with guests and will sniff/boop visitors 🤭, while being cautious. His furever home will require a fenced-in yard and a playful, furry canine companion. Wes will need patient adopters that understand trust and confidence take time. Buddy — 1‑Year‑Old Beagle Learning How to Be Loved Buddy came from the Ridglan Facility, arriving skinny, scared, and with a tattooed ear 😥… but he has blossomed into the sweetest, most loyal little shadow. ♥️ Buddy trusted his foster on night one — gave 2 AM face kisses, 🥰 curled up with the foster kiddo, and explored the yard with gentle curiosity. Now he smiles, runs full speed through the house, and loves lounging on patio furniture like a tiny king. 🤴 Buddy is potty and crate trained. He absolutely loves spending time outdoors, and will require a home with a fenced‑in yard where he can safely explore. 🧐 He will also require a canine companion—a furry friend who can give him confidence, comfort, and a playful buddy to romp around with. He is great with people, kids, dogs and cats. Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. 🐾 MAX the beagle is a recent local surrender whose owner could no longer keep him through on fault of his own - he's 4 years old and we got him fully vetted at his new foster's. He's an energetic pup and gets along with the other dogs at his fosters and is a sweet and friendly boy with new people, too. We'll report back with more/better pics and more info as we get them from his foster. He surprised us when he weighed in at 32 lbs at his neuter appt. 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. This is even more true if the dog has not by chance had their altering appointment at time of adoption. ** Also, we highly recommend some form of 2-week shutdown and decompression for dogs going to a new home for best results. --> Lastly, breed guesses in rescue are just that (GUESSES!!) 99.9% of the time. We do not do DNA testing and our breed guesses are based on appearance and sometimes other traits, but we know the dog breed guessing game is a fool's errand even for those with LOTS of experience. 🗺 ADOPTION AREA: several hour radius of Rochester, NY (Canada within 3 hours IS allowed, except that young puppies need to be old enough to have gotten their rabies vaccination to cross the border - usually around 16 weeks)

Bitty 2 years old Spayed female Beagle 15-20 lbs Beagle lovers... this one's for you Bitty is possibly the sweetest girl on the planet. She doesn't know a stranger and wants to gently crawl into the lap of everyone she meets to give them kisses. She loves to go for walks and car rides and then snuggle up into a comfy blanket next to her person at the end of the day. She loves kids and other dogs and would make an excellent addition to any family. Bitty suffered a traumatic tail injury which led to her tail needing to be amputated, and she is incontinent as a result. She wears baby diapers (cheaper than dog diapers!) and is great for her diaper changes. It's a bit like having a baby, but the plus side to this is no accidents in the house! We often hear worries that you can't work/go out and have a diaper dog but that's not true - it's less work than you'd think and we'd be more than happy to discuss her routine with an interested adopter! - Dog friendly (cats unknown) - Crate trained - Walks great on leash, fenced yard not required - Loves kids and would make a great family dog!
