Stuart is a 5-6 year old 55 lb mixed breed of Beagle and Pit Bull. He is not currently neutered but he will be soon by our rescue vet! He is very sweet and loves people! Seems dog friendly. Heartworm negative and microchipped and now current on all vaccines except Lyme vaccine, which our rescue can give if adopter is willingly. Found as a stray, but housetrained. Obviously owner didn't keep him safe and never reclaimed him. He deserves a better home honestly! If you are interested in meeting or adopting Stuart please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Feb 2026. Snoopy is about 7 months old.  He is a Beagle mix weighing 22 pounds. He’s a pretty mellow guy who loves everyone! He recently went from sleeping in the kennel to sleeping in a crate inside the house.  He was so good and now we know he is house broken.  He is great with other dogs and cats. Snoopy also recently spent the day at the Safe A Friend booth at the Luquillo Farmers Market.  He was very friendly with everyone including other dogs, and families with children.  He ignored the various chickens and roosters wandering around the park.  Very sweet boy and super affectionate with people. His Foster brother is teaching him to play. His skin issue is improving, and now that he feels better, his personality is emerging. He is currently being treated for skin infections and ehrlicia. Age: 4 years Size: 25 lbs Estimated breed: Beagle mix Holly Dae has spent time with our trainer, perfecting her obedience and working on crate training and leash reactivity. The crate is now a fun place for her to go. She goes in on her own for meal time and goes happily on command when asked. She’s quiet in the crate and either rests or chews on a toy/bone provided. She still has moments of reacting to new dogs when on leash, but she responds well to correction and looks to her handler when nervous. She LOVES snuggles and wants to be in your skin with you. She has such adoring eyes, too! It’ll take a slower introduction for her with other dogs, but once she’s comfortable it’s game on for playing and wrestling. While she’s not aggressive with cats, she enjoys the chase a bit too much, so she’s looking for a home with no kitties. She’s such a love bug ready for her forever home!   Mama Holly Dae entered the shelter with nine babies nursing off of her. She was found as a stray so we don't know much about her past, but we do know that her future is bright! Holly Dae is sweet as can be. She melts into your lap for affection and love, giving gentle kisses. Holly Dae is looking for a forever home with the time to train her into the best girl she can be.
