Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Let us introduce to you a special boy named Jake.  Jake is the sweetest, kindest soul.  Jake is about 2 years old and 24 pounds.  He is great with other dogs and lived with cats before coming to H2H.  He is house and crate trained.   He didn't have a very good beginning in life and he came to us a very scared boy.  His foster family has done a wonderful job of helping him along in his rehabilitation.   He is now able to walk on a leash and is starting to play with his canine foster companions.   Jake will need a very patient home with folks who will understand that he needs patience and grace; he will need time to adjust and learn new things about the world around him. If you think you are the family for Jake, please fill out an application to adopt.   Jake is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm medication.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.  We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.  Thank you!May 10, 2024, 9:23 pm

Story
Beagle Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around a year or 2 old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org.

Story
Hey there! My name is Freckles, I'm a 5 year old beagle and I am looking for my forever home! I love to give kisses and snuggle! I'm trying to learn not to jump but I just love people so much! A typical beagle, I love to investigate ALL the things. My foster mom says I'm smart and curious. I learned my name in only 2 days! I adore my human foster siblings but I've had some disagreements with my doggie foster siblings. We've decided I would probably be best as the only dog in my new home so I can be queen of my castle. I currently live with 4 cats and I don't understand them, so sometimes I chase them and bark to see what they do. If my new home has cats, they would need to be dog savvy and willing to deal with my curiosity. Because I am so curious, I tend to try to dash out the door any chance I get, so I need a home with a fenced in yard and family who will be cautious when leaving without me. I walk pretty good on a leash, unless I find a fun scent and then I forget my manners and tug to follow the smell I find intriguing. I would really love a home with kids because they are my favorites. My foster mom is cool, but I cry when the kids leave for school. I know basic commands and would be willing to take classes to learn new tricks or maybe an agility course. I don't like my crate and I cry and try to break out when I'm stuck in it. I much rather sleep with my human foster sister. She let's me steal the covers and even her pillow. Overall, I pack a lot of personality into my petite body and I would love to be your new furry family member. I tested positive for lymes on intake but I've been treated. I'm UTD on vaccines, spayed, chipped and ready for my forever family! If you think that could be you, please visit zoeshouserescue.com to apply. *Please note, only apps submitted through our site are received and reviewed. Do not apply through 3rd party sites like Petfinder. Zoe's House Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet Justin, the 1.5-year-old Beagle with a heart as big as his ears! This 25-pound lovebug is a content couch potato (after a vigorous play session) with a medium/high energy level. His favorite pastime is chasing the faster dogs around the yard - with his ears flapping, it's a hoot! Justin is a social butterfly, finding joy in the company of humans and fellow dogs alike. He is housetrained in his foster's home. This guy's got crate skills too. He sleeps quietly all night in his crate and hops in willingly waiting for a treat.   Justin has strong hunting instincts and while he's not aggressive, he enjoys chasing the resident cat.  Justin's ideal home is one with someone home more often than not, a fenced yard for play or better yet, acreage for chasing those bunnies and maybe a doggie pal to share the love. Ready for a tail-wagging adventure with Justin? He's ready for his family to bring him home!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 12, 2024, 5:49 pm

Story
Poppy is a stunning, 8.5yr old beagle girl. This lovely senior is a total sweetheart, despite suffering years of abuse in an animal testing laboratory. Poppy is the perfect little companion for any individual or family! Poppy loves to go on walks, spend time around other dogs, and sniff around the yard (in true beagle fashion), but more than anything... Poppy loves to be near her people! She's great with kids, too! Poppy has received an A+ in couch snuggles. Poppy has been learning lots from her two foster siblings and, while she hasn't initiated play with them yet, they have given her a lot of confidence. She would love a home that could provide her with both exercise and lots of laid-back cuddle time together. Poppy is also cat approved! If you are interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/rescue/ and email us with questions: adopt@bfp.org. Location: Houston, TX
