Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

Story
Updated 3Aug25 **Meet Kiko - The Couch Potato Connoisseur! ** Hi, my name is Kiko! Am I not the most handsome boy you've ever seen? If you enjoy quiet days and evenings snacking on the couch while watching Hallmark Christmas movies, look no further-I'm your perfect partner in crime! While I do enjoy my leisurely walks (think stroll, not sprint) and sniffing all the great smells outside, I'm also content to just lay at your feet or engage in a serious squeaky toy chewing session. Now, let's talk about snacks-I'm a bit of a connoisseur! I have a refined palate and can definitely tell the difference between a yummy treat and a green bean. Sneak a green bean by me, and I'll give you the side-eye of disapproval! *Car Rides and Social Skills* I also love car rides and being wherever you are! Just picture it: you, me, the open road, and a playlist of our favorite tunes. I'm the older guy looking for my next person to bond with. My prior owner was busy, busy, busy, which made me anxious and uncomfortable-too much excitement for my laid-back lifestyle! I can be a bit hesitant around new people, so I might take my time to warm up to you. If I'm not feeling social (which is often), I'll be perfectly content in my cozy kennel with my favorite stuffed carrot. I'm house-trained, love gentle pets and ear scratches, but I'm not really a cuddler. While I enjoy being near my people, I prefer to keep my personal space-think of me as a charming companion who values independence! *Training and Bonding* I know how to sit like a good boy and have fantastic recall-just call my name, and I'll come sauntering over like I'm the star of a slow-motion movie! I spent some time at Champion Farms in November 2023, where everyone learned a lot about me. I take a little time to warm up, but once I do, I bond faster than you can say "treat time! A quiet home suits me best, but one where I can still enjoy short leash walks with my person is ideal. My new human should possess some leadership qualities to ensure healthy boundaries-after all, I bond deeply with my favorite humans! Oh, and here's the cherry on top: My next home will receive a free in-home session with Edgar at The Champion Farm to ensure you get started on the right foot together. Think of it as a training montage for our buddy cop movie!

Story
Updated 9Nov25 💖 About Bella Bella is around 5–6 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. Her story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and hope. She was found in Texas, tied to a tree on a three-foot lead after reportedly being hit by a car. Despite everything she’s endured, Bella has shown nothing but grace, strength, and sweetness. With help from incredible volunteers, Bella made her way to Memphis to begin a new chapter full of care and comfort. 🩷 Personality Bella is a ray of light wrapped in fur. She’s gentle, affectionate, and loves being close to her people. Her calm, soulful energy makes her a favorite everywhere she goes. She’s great with dogs and cats and greets everyone with quiet warmth and a wagging tail. The shelter donated a wheelchair for her, and her foster even got her a little Radio Flyer wagon so she can roll around in style. She’s the kind of dog who leaves a trail of tears and smiles everywhere she goes — because she truly is sunshine on two wheels. 🌞 Her spirit is unbreakable, and her joy is contagious. 🏡 Ideal Home Bella would thrive in a loving, patient home that can help her continue her recovery journey. She doesn’t let her mobility challenges slow her down — she’s bright, adaptable, and full of life. All she really wants is love, safety, and a soft place to rest her head. 💫 Medical Notes Bella was diagnosed with long-term pyometra, which may have contributed to weakness in her back right leg. She underwent an emergency spay and is slowly starting to regain movement. X-rays confirmed she has no fractures. Bella is also heartworm positive and will begin treatment soon. She comes with an awesome wheelchair that helps her get around comfortably and confidently.
