Pete is neutered, up to date on all vetting, and heartworm negative. He has participated in the dog march and rode on the Christmas float. He is a great size dog – not too small and not too big! Pete plays with other dogs at the shelter but can be selective about his four-legged friends. He also can scale a chain link fence better than any monkey you’ve ever seen! He will need a home with a solid privacy fence if he is allowed outside alone at any time. With a little work he will be a good leash dog.

Thanksgiving Day 2025. While most families were sitting down to dinner, a 4-pound baby was sitting abandoned. Molly was left behind with her mama — no food, no security, no plan. After Sadie getting out multiple times, and me worrying sick over her safety despite not even being her owner, her owner has made the loving decision to officially surrender her to Somebody To The Rescue Now our focus is finding **the right home**, not just *a* home. Sadie is an absolute sweetheart. She is: ✅ Spayed ✅ Up to date on vaccines ✅ Microchipped ✅ Full of love …but she is also a **certified escape artist**. Because of that, we will only consider a home committed to keeping her safe at all times. Sadie cannot continue getting loose, she has been incredibly lucky so far, and I don’t know how many more close calls she would survive. She needs someone willing to secure fencing, supervise outdoor time, and truly understand that keeping her safe is non-negotiable. ***UPDATE***Sadie's breed was originally estimated by a veterinarian as a Dachshund mix based solely on appearance. We later completed an Embark DNA test, which showed she is actually a Beagle/Mountain Cur mix with Great Pyrenees and Bluetick Coonhound ancestry. As with many mixed-breed dogs, her appearance doesn't tell the whole story! If you enjoy quiet days and evenings snacking on the couch while watching Hallmark Christmas movies, look no further-I'm your perfect partner in crime! While I do enjoy my leisurely walks (think stroll, not sprint) and sniffing all the great smells outside, I'm also content to just lay at your feet or engage in a serious squeaky toy chewing session. Now, let's talk about snacks-I'm a bit of a connoisseur! I have a refined palate and can definitely tell the difference between a yummy treat and a green bean. Sneak a green bean by me, and I'll give you the side-eye of disapproval! *Car Rides and Social Skills* I also love car rides and being wherever you are! Just picture it: you, me, the open road, and a playlist of our favorite tunes. I'm the older guy looking for my next person to bond with. My prior owner was busy, busy, busy, which made me anxious and uncomfortable-too much excitement for my laid-back lifestyle! I can be a bit hesitant around new people, so I might take my time to warm up to you. If I'm not feeling social (which is often), I'll be perfectly content in my cozy kennel with my favorite stuffed carrot. I'm house-trained, love gentle pets and ear scratches, but I'm not really a cuddler. While I enjoy being near my people, I prefer to keep my personal space-think of me as a charming companion who values independence! *Training and Bonding* I know how to sit like a good boy and have fantastic recall-just call my name, and I'll come sauntering over like I'm the star of a slow-motion movie! I spent some time at Champion Farms in November 2023, where everyone learned a lot about me. I take a little time to warm up, but once I do, I bond faster than you can say "treat time! A quiet home suits me best, but one where I can still enjoy short leash walks with my person is ideal. My new human should possess some leadership qualities to ensure healthy boundaries-after all, I bond deeply with my favorite humans! Swazie #24204; female; mixed breed “low-rider”. Swazie is estimated to be about 3 years old and she weighs approximately 45 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, and up-to-date on shots. She is on slow kill for a positive heartworm test. Swazie can be a little shy with new people but just show her a treat and you have a best friend for life! Swazie plays with dogs of similar size and energy level. She enjoys her play yard time AND a good nap! Take a look at those ears!! It doesn’t get any cuter than this. This gal just needs a chance. We do not have cats in our shelter and therefore cannot evaluate the dog’s behavior with them.
