Hercules `s StoryHi, my name is Hercules, and I’m a sweet senior boy with a big heart and lots of love to give. I truly enjoy meeting new people and I’m happiest when I’m getting attention or just hanging out by your side.I get along well with other dogs with proper introductions, and I’m doing amazing with my leash walking skills. Walks are one of my favorite ways to spend time, especially when I get to explore at a nice, easy pace.I’ve done great in a crate and know how to settle in and relax. I’m playful, gentle, and affectionate, making me the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. All I’m hoping for now is a loving home where I can enjoy my golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and love. If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered senior to share your life with, I just might be your guy.If you are interested in adopting, please copy and paste this link into your browser...https://www.apollosupportandrescue.org/adoptthisdog.htmlIncluded with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered-if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. Story
Meet Jessie – Certified Couch Potato & Professional Snuggler 🐢❤️ Jessie is a 6-year-old neutered male Beagle mix who came to the shelter on 1/18/25 as an owner surrender. He’s currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment — but don't let that worry you, because Jessie’s real superpower is his chill personality. At first, Jessie might look like he’ll drag you down the street… but surprise! He’s actually a slow-moving sweetheart who just wants to be close to his person. Take him on a walk too fast and he’ll let you know — by sitting down and giving you the “we’re not doing that” look. Once you match his pace (think snail speed 🐌), he’s happy to continue. 🐾 Dog friendly 🐾 Loves the play yard with other dogs 🐾 Walks great on a leash 🐾 Super chill, cuddly, and easy to handle 🐾 Couch potato alert: this boy is made for snuggling! Jessie’s just looking for a comfy spot to call his own and a human who loves slow walks and long naps as much as he does. He’s available for adoption! 📋 Apply via our Linktree: https://linktr.ee/pawprintsofhoperescue 🚗 Transport available across the U.S. and to Canadian adopters Let’s find Jessie the cozy, loving home he’s been waiting for. ❤️

Story
Dear Future Family, When you walk up to my kennel, I can’t help myself – I get so excited because I love people, and I just know if you give me a chance, you’ll see how special I am. My name is Jessie. I’m a 4-year-old Beagle mix with a gentle heart and an easy-going nature. I’ve been to the shelter twice in my life, and both times I was saved from euthanasia. I don’t want to go through that again… I just want a family who will love me forever. I’m dog-friendly, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and I’ve completed my heartworm treatments. I’m also low energy, happy to go for a walk or explore the yard, but just as happy to curl up beside you. My friends say I have a wonderful temperament and would make the perfect family dog. The best part? I can be adopted out of state and even to Canadian adopters, so no matter where you live, we could still find our way to each other. If you’ve been looking for a loyal companion who will love you unconditionally… I’m right here. Love, 🐾 Jessie 📍 Apply here: https://linktr.ee/pawprintsofhoperescue

Story
Meet Hazel! Hazel is a happy, energetic girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She loves to play, stay active, and be right in the middle of whatever is going on. Attention is one of her favorite things, and she truly enjoys spending time with her people. Because Hazel can be vocal at times, she would likely do best in a house rather than an apartment. It’s part of her expressive nature and just one of the ways she communicates excitement and curiosity. 🐾 When she’s ready to relax, Hazel loves lounging on the arm of the couch, giving kisses, soaking up love, and watching TV with her people. She’s full of love and ready to bring joy to the right family. Hazel is dog friendly and does well with other dogs, although she is still working on learning a balance between too much excitement, and being nervous of other dogs at first. 🐶 With a little time to come out of her shell, she does amazing! Hazel sometimes can be protective of her food around the other dog in her foster home, so she usually prefers to eat her food in private away from other pets in the house. (We sure can’t blame her for that!) No cats please! Hazel currently lives in a foster home with a cat, and she likes to chase them a little too much and try to play with them like she would a dog. I mean, how is she supposed to know the difference? Hazel understands that pottying is done outside and is excellent at letting you know when she needs to go, (but she does have occasional accidents due to excitement)! She knows basic commands including “sit”, “lay down”, and “crate”. Hazel is crate trained like a pro and sleeps like a baby in her crate consistently! She is working on leash walking and doing great, but is a little skittish still and will need continued work to gain confidence in new environments! Does Hazel sound like a good fit for you? Story
Ginger is a sweet 7-month-old beagle. We got her as a playmate, companion for our other dog. We have found that it is not a good situation because he's very jealous of her now and it has caused him to become depressed and withdrawn. We feel that our loyalty is to him so this is very hard for us. She's a good little dog, she learns quickly. She is very playful but well-behaved. She knows the word no. It has become difficult also because she wants to play with our other dog and he doesn't want to, so I'm always needing to keep them apart which is the opposite of what we hoped for.
