We are looking to re-home our girl dog Izzie. She was a rescue dog. We found her outside of our home several times and found her with a big knot in the middle of her snout, looked like someone has hit her so we decided to take her in. Almost 2 years later and we now have 2 babies and live in a very small space. Izzie deserves a home with a backyard or with an owner who can take her on long walks. She is a very calm dog. She is good with other dogs and with children. She listens to commands like sit and paw. She loves to play with tennis balls and lay down on a cold floor from time to time. We are hoping to find a home for her that will better suit her needs such as space and time.

Her life began outdoors, surviving on her own until she was rescued, frightened and covered in fleas, yet remarkably sweet.She has since been fully vetted, spayed, and is halfway through heartworm treatment, doing wonderfully.Due to her past, Merry is shy and cautious. She needs a patient, experienced adopter who understands that trust takes time. Though she may startle at sudden movements, she is making daily progress. In just weeks, she has begun to open up and blossom.Merry is great with other dogs and cats, fully potty trained, and kennels calmly when left alone. At home, she is quiet and easygoing, loving to lounge on the couch or nap outside. In the yard, she enjoys running and playing in the sun.Merry would thrive in an adult-only home or one with only occasional, calm child visitors, as fast movements and loud noises frighten her. With familiarity, she may warm to regular young guests.She is a special girl who deserves to be someone’s whole world.
