Meet Quinn, a 10-year-old senior who was found as a stray and deserves SO MUCH MORE!   She’s friendly with other dogs and seems okay with cats.  All she wants is love and a comfortable place to rest while we determine if there’s anything more than her weight affecting her health.    This is heartbreaking, and Quinn deserves so much better!   March 8, 2026, 9:28 pm

Story
Meet Becky! Breed: BeagleGender: FemaleAge: SeniorSize: Small/Medium (17 lbs)Good with: Other dogs, children, people who respect personal space Becky the Beagle is officially ready for retirement! This senior girly has put in her years and now she's looking for a peaceful home where she can live out her golden years in comfort. Becky isn't what you'd call a cuddly dog—she's more of an "I appreciate you from over here" kind of companion. Sharing your space is enough for her; she doesn't need to be glued to your side to feel loved. One of Becky's best qualities? She's exceptionally self-sufficient. She's very good about playing with toys on her own and keeping herself entertained without needing constant attention or interaction. Think of her as the perfect low-maintenance roommate who's content to do her own thing while you do yours. She'll be nearby, just not necessarily ON you. Becky does well with other dogs and children, making her a flexible fit for different household types. That said, she's not interested in the chaos that life can bring—she's looking for a calm, peaceful environment where she can relax and enjoy her senior years without drama. She's got that classic Beagle easygoing nature, but she's definitely in her "I've earned some peace and quiet" era. If you're looking for an independent companion who won't demand constant cuddles but will happily share your home and your life, Becky is your girl. At just 17 pounds, she's the perfect size for a lap (if she ever decides that's her thing) but mostly she'll be content keeping you company from her favorite cozy spot! Ready to welcome Becky into your life? Contact us to meet this wonderful girl! Disclaimer: The information in this profile reflects observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog as accurately as possible; however, behavior and needs may change once the dog is in a new home, routine, or environment. Our dogs are not freeroaming in homes. When we note that a dog is "potty trained," this refers to reliable crate training, not confirmed freeroam house training. Accidents are normal during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected. All dogs are examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered if old enough, and are up to date on ageappropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. We share all known medical information, but we cannot guarantee future health or rule out underlying conditions. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.happyfacespetranch.org Once your application has been approved, a representative will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's individual needs. ##2484069##

Story
Meet Barbie-Q! Breed: Beagle MixGender: FemaleAge: Young (under 1 year)Size: Small (10lbs)Good with: Other dogs, people who appreciate a good origin story Let's address the elephant in the room: Yes, Barbie-Q arrived at the rescue with actual barbecue sauce on her snout. We have questions. She's not telling. But the name stuck, and honestly, it's perfect for this saucy little girl! Barbie-Q is pure puppy energy wrapped up in a "play hard, sleep harder" package. When she's awake, she's GO GO GO—running, playing, bouncing around like life is one giant playground. But when she crashes? She CRASHES. We're talking full burrito mode, burrowed under blankets, completely zonked out and dead to the world. It's honestly impressive how fast she can go from 100 to 0. While she can entertain herself if needed, Barbie-Q much prefers having doggy friends to romp with. She gets along great with other dogs and would absolutely thrive in a home with a playmate or two. She's the kind of pup who will wear out your other dog in the best possible way, then curl up together for an epic nap session. Barbie-Q needs an active home that can keep up with her puppy antics and doesn't mind a dog who thinks blankets were invented specifically as personal caves. If you're ready for enthusiastic play sessions followed by adorable snooze fests, this girl is your match! Ready to welcome Barbie-Q into your life? Contact us to meet this wonderful girl! Story
Rosco is a handsome hunk who loves to eat, walk, and go for car rides. He's outgoing and gets along well with just about everyone. Rosco is healthy and happy, even though the vet put him on a diet. He's about 4 years old and will make a fun companion for years to come. Foster Update: Hi, I'm Rosco, and I'm looking for a loving family to adopt me. I have a terrific deep baritone bark that reverberates through the house. I usually stop when my belly gets rubbed, but sometimes I just like to let those built up barks out for a few minutes. I've found myself in a situation where I'm quite fluffy (76 pounds), so I need an owner who will not be guilt tripped by my sad soulful eyes when they are eating. My foster parents add cooked green vegetables to my kibble for filler, and I gobble them up.  I need to stay on a strict diet to achieve my peak health. Apart from having a few extra pounds, the vet gave me a clean bill of health. I was very well behaved for the vet and let them poke and prod and even cut my nails without making a fuss. Although my ears are long, they are not long enough to get dirty, so I'm a pretty clean basset hound. Also, I'm not a "drooly" dog, so you don't need to constantly wipe my mouth like some dogs. I have a naturally clean, fresh doggie scent and not a strong dog odor. I'm very friendly to those I meet, and I enjoy relaxing and watching TV with my foster parents. Some nights I sleep in bed with my humans, and some nights I stay in dog bed on the floor. When I want to go for a walk, I can walk half a mile no problem. However, I like to go at my own pace, so don't be a rush because I love to note all the smells that other dogs leave behind as if we are on a scavenger hunt. I'm 100% potty trained. I love to go in the car and behave myself quite well there. When left alone during the day, I sleep and am not destructive to your property. When you arrive home, I'm super excited to give you attention and tell you how much I've missed you and how much I love you. I do well with other dogs and would prefer to be in a pack. When around other dogs, I'm a good follower and do not need to be alpha. I very much enjoy roaming freely in a fenced backyard, and I even run at top speed if I have another dog to play with me. My foster dad likes to tease that I’ve got two brain cells, and they don’t even fire at the same time. In response I will quote Mark Twain: “When you fish for love, bait with your heart, not your brain.” If you think we would be a good match, fill out an application and tell them Rosco sent you.  ##2677809##

Story
Bo is an approximately 5-year-old Basset mix with a total basset body and a super mutt head.  Bo has had a 'ruff' start to life but is now safe and secure with Basset Buddies.  He has completed Heartworm treatment and ready to be spoiled in his new home.  Bo is very timid and takes time to warm up to new people, but once settled he loves pets and seeks out his humans.  He is cat cautious, dog friendly and (dog knowledgeable and respectable) kid friendly.  He does not resource guard, and actually does great free feeding with his foster family's other dogs, but will steal and defend dropped, high value treats when not monitored by his humans.  Bo does not bark much in his foster home, is house trained and very happily uses a dog door.  Loves walks but does not demand them, and simply just enjoys existing with everyone around him.  He is simply a perfect house guest! ##2677781##

Story
Walter is a big boy (about 65 pounds of pure Basset) with an incredibly sweet and gentle nature. He's a true couch companion who loves to sit by the window and watch the world outside. He's very people-oriented and will happily follow you from room to room. When visitors arrive, he gets talkative and playful, showing off his friendly personality. Despite his size, Walter is very well mannered. He appreciates a good nap and a relaxed routine, and he loves his daily treats and human attention. Walter will make some lucky family a gentle, loyal companion. ##2656742##
