Story
This sweet little bundle of joy is approximately 9 weeks old and 5 lbs of pure personality. Ana may be tiny, but her spirit is BIG! She’s spunky, feisty, snuggly, playful, and incredibly smart. This clever girl is making great progress with potty training – she understands to go when she’s outside but hasn’t quite figured out how to ask to go out yet. Patience and encouragement will help her master this in no time. Ana is a total cuddle bug and a classic velcro dog – always wanting to be near her people. She sleeps well through the night and plays nicely with other dogs. She’s still learning how to walk on a leash but is giving it her all. And when she’s not getting her way? You might hear a little sassy bark! Ana will likely grow into a medium-sized dog with a big heart and even bigger personality. She would thrive in an active, loving home with patient humans who are excited to continue her training, play with her, and snuggle her close. If you’re looking for a fun, adaptable, and endlessly entertaining pup to join your family, Ana might just be your perfect match! Transport is an additional $185. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
❤️ Tootie❤️ Tootie is ready to start seeking a home of her very own. Tootie will be a work in progress for a long long time. However Tootie could be bonding with her new family and learning to be at ease with them instead of a foster home. She is about 4ish. What Tootie needs Is a patient family that’s going to give her the time she needs to trust them and not push themselves on her. Tootie absolutely loves other dogs and cats too, and we really think other animals in a home are beneficial to her. Tootie is incredibly submissive and does not have a mean bone in her body. She is crate trained, and for the most part is house trained as long as you take her out enough. He does need a secure, fenced yard since leash walking is still something that is very scary to her and we’re not going to push it too much because we see her back slide in the amount of trust we built with her when we try to put her on a leash. The most important thing for a home for Tootie is time and patience. Tootie is so very sweet and wants love so badly. She just needs to know that she can trust you. If you’re interested in learning more about Tootie send us a pm or if you would like to apply visit shirleysanimals.org

Story
Jack was rescued by my ex husband from a neglectful home about 10 yrs ago. He was younger than one at the time. The positives for Jack are many. Neutered, utd on vaccines, VERY friendly with people and other dogs. He got used to my cat after a week. He rarely barks, he’s house trained, and other than occasional brushing and nail clipping, he doesn’t need to be groomed. He’s still pretty active for his age. Loves walks, and will play. Jack is VERY food motivated, and is now on a diet, just because he gained so much weight in the last couple years. IMO, his only negative is that he pulls on the leash, and he is very strong. He’s rarely ill. No chronic conditions. My ex husband is too sick to care for him, and although Jack is with me now, he’s not allowed to stay in my apartment building. I always frowned upon people rehoming dogs, so I feel bad doing this, although he is able to adapt easily because he loves people. The adoption fee is 50.00
