Story
Meet the beautiful Diva, a thought-to-be 2-year-old brindle mix. Despite the challenges she has faced, Diva is a sweetheart who was found as a stray wandering the hot summer streets. She landed on the euthanasia list at the overcrowded shelter but was transferred to rescue just in time. This lovely lady is on the lookout for her new best friend! While a bit shy initially with new people, once she warms up, Diva's personality shines. She is super affectionate, loving, playful, and silly, finding joy in being with her person. With a beautiful brindle color and beagle markings, our best guess is that she is a beagle mix, weighing around 20lbs. Diva is food-motivated and quite agile! Dog-friendly and loyal once she gets to know you, Diva is fully vetted, spayed, has a health certificate, is microchipped, vaccinated, and comes with preventatives, all set for her forever home. If Diva has captured your heart, please visit our website https://serendipityanimalrescue.org for more information and the application process.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/honey-3-2024/ Hello, there! My name is Honey, and I'm here to share a little bit about myself and my dear friend, Bee. We're a charming pair, bonded through the ups and downs of life, and my happiest moments are spent right by Bee's side. As a sweet older girl, I've learned a thing or two about what truly matters in life: love, companionship, and the joy of simple pleasures. Bee and I have been through quite a lot together, and our bond has only grown stronger over time. I'm still getting used to this new chapter at FOHA (Friends of Homeless Animals), but I can already tell that it's a place filled with caring hearts and warm smiles. I may be a bit older, but my spirit is as sweet as ever, and Bee and I have so much love to give to the right family. Thankfully, I quickly found myself a foster home with Bee, so as my foster family and I spend time together, they will discover more about me. Keep an eye on my bio page for updates as I reveal my charming personality and quirky ways. If you're looking for a gentle, loving pair to bring warmth and joy into your home, Bee and I would be honored to be a part of your family. Stay tuned as FOHA learns more about us, and feel free to reach out if you think we might be the perfect fit for your loving home. With love, Honey I am bonded with Bee.

Story
Introducing Grace, our 3-year-old, 15-pound beagle mix, who's as dainty as can be and as doesn't bark. She's the perfect size of a wine bottle and would make the ultimate companion for your next wine night! Cheers to Grace! She loves the other dogs in her foster home and is a good balance of chill and playful. Grace loves to cuddle and snuggle up on the couch. Grace rarely barks, which is awesome considering she is a beagle - lol. She walks great on a leash and is fully housetrained! Grace is not in a foster home with children, but we feel she would do well with respectful children 5 years and up. Grace is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Luke came to us as a very overweight guy with seizures. He is in a wonderful foster home who helped him drop the extra weight and we're working on keeping his seizures under control. Luke gets along with everyone, including his 4-legged foster sister. His puppy dog eyes will melt your sole. He is a calm and gentle guy about 8ish yrs old.  He has the characteristic sniffing traits of his breed and is curious to investigate life around him when outdoors.  Luke has a sweet, quiet disposition.  He continues to be an easy going and good natured gentleman and is very nicely behaved in a home environment. Luke still has seizures from time to time so he needs an adopter who can handle his special needs.  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org.
