Story
A bit bigger than you might expect of a Beagle, Oscar is the rare quiet Beagle/Basset. So far the most he`s said are a couple barks when he wants to come inside. He likes to be inside lounging on his cushy dog bed. He is not a high energy Beagle either, preferring to just hang out with you supervising what you are doing. He was returned because of some interesting anxiety and guarding behaviors in the home- so he will not be going to a home with children, and needs a dog-savvy adopter who is willing to work with a trainer for his best chance of success. We would prefer that he be placed in Waupaca or Waushara County, but it may not be a deal-breaker if you have a good trainer already.

Story
Gentle Beagle Mix (Bennie, 5 yrs) Needs Loving Home – Owner Entering Hospice Bennie is a sweet, easygoing 5-year-old hound mix looking for a new home due to his owner entering hospice care. This is a really hard decision for our family, and we’re hoping to find him a safe, loving place to land. Bennie is medium-sized with a classic scent-hound look—likely a Beagle mix (possibly with Pointer or Coonhound). About Bennie: * Neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations * House trained * Good with kids * Limited experience with other dogs/animals * Generally calm, affectionate, and likes to be near people * Good appetite, no known medical issues Bennie is a pretty chill dog who enjoys hanging out and being part of the household. He’s still working on leash training but does well using a gentle leader. He would likely do best with someone who can give him a bit of structure and consistency. A calm, stable home where he can get attention, companionship, and regular exercise.

Molly 6 months Beagle UTD on vaccine Spayed Gets along well with all animals. Tucker especially makes her feel safe to come out of her shell Very fearful of new humans and outdoors, she will need someone very patient Has to be on soft food due to multiple teeth fractures from biting on cage wire. Does well on softened kibble though Potty pad trained but will need regular potty training Extremely sweet and submissive Prefers a harness over a collar She can now walk in a straight line most of the time but if she gets too overwhelmed or nervous she will go back to walking in circles She thrives around other animals especially Tucker Loves stuffies

Tucker 2 years old Beagle UTD on vaccines Neutered Extremely fearful of humans until he gets to know you, if a guest walks near him he will try to escape Loved all other animals No plush toys or regular potty pads, he will shred them and eat them as a nervous habit. I think as he is comfortable he will stop doing this Very fearful of all noises and sudden movements Walks with a collar or harness He loves Molly Extremely sweet once he’s comfortable and a major snuggle bug Eats regular kibble
