Story
This beautiful young lady is Poppet, she is right around 3 years old. She is full vetted and now heartworm negative. She weighs right around 35# but needs to lose a few. Lol. She was mom to auto parts litter pups who came up a few months ago. Poppet gets along with other dogs with proper introduction and would love a doggie friend. Loves toys both squeaker and crinkle toys. And would love a home with a fenced in yard to run to get her zoomies out. She is very sweet and loving, will give kisses. She can be a tad shy when meeting new people, she just needs a little time to know she is safe and can trust them. But when she does trust she will be your best friend in the world. That being said, she would love a quieter home, with no smaller kids, but older respectful kids would be fine. I think she would be fine with cats. She also walks good on a leash. She is now hoping she can finally have a real home with people to love her and show her new and exciting things. An online application can be found at SandiPaws.org for this little ladyThank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Story
Hi there, I'm Baron and I am a 45 lb LAP DOG..or so I say! I am a 2.5 year old Beagle mix and practically perfect. Neutered and house trained. Crates up when I'm told to go to my room. Quiet unless still in crate and I need to go potty. I love stuffed squeaky toys. Super sweet. Dog friendly after proper introduction. I Loooooves doing ZOOMIES!!!! A bit higher energy level than most. Little kids or small older folks would not be ideal. Pretty sure I'd accidentally knock kids down. All I want is attention and rubs and a FENCED yard to run to my hearts content. Maybe even a playmate would be fun, then we could wear each other out! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
**WCHS is adopting me from a foster home to help reduce my stress. Please call the shelter if you are interested in meeting me!**· Intake Reason: surrendered due to owner's healthKnown with:· Cats: Unknown· Dogs: Does well in WCHS playgroups, wanders around· Kids: exposed to all ages and did wellHi my name is Spock! After being adopted for many years I unfortunately had to be returned to WCHS due to the declining health of my owner. I am what some people might call a "Super Senior" because I'm almost 14 years old. Although I do have some slower days, I am still pretty active and love to go for walks. I also enjoy meandering around in WCHS playgroups. As you may know, with age tends to come some health concerns. I'm believed to me mostly deaf and I do have cataracts, giving me some limited vision. I definitely can still see treats! Being a Beagle, my nose also still works exceptionally well! I also have a history of infrequent seizures that correlate to stressful events, such as fireworks and gunshots. Due to the scarce amount of seizures I've experienced in the last 6 years, WCHS believes that my condition should be easily managed by keeping me in stress-free situations. There is a possibility that over the counter calming supplements may help as well. If you have any questions please call the shelter or come in and meet me in person and see how much life I have left to live!

Story
Hey! I'm Copper! I am a handsome 3-year-old Beagle that was surrendered because my family was moving and couldn't take me with them. That being said, I am looking for a new forever home to call my own! I love to play and go for walks, but I also love to settle down in your lap and snuggle on the couch! I am super sweet with people and have lived with kids of all ages! I have also lived with dogs in the past, but I do tend to get protective of my people, so not all dogs would be a good fit for me. We can always meet and see if we are a good fit first! I also have lived with cats, but I will definitely bark at them and get up in their face. One thing that makes me a bit special is that I have something called tracheal collapse which requires me to be walked on a harness at all times here at the shelter. Here is what the vet team here has to say about my condition:"This pet is suspected to have a condition called tracheal collapse. Tracheal collapse is a chronic, progressive, irreversible disease of the trachea, or windpipe, and lower airways (mainstem bronchi collapse).Tracheal collapse is a progressive disease, as the tracheal cartilage can continue to deteriorate over time despite treatment. Even pets who have surgery for the condition may need medications for life. The prognosis will depend on how well your dog responds to treatment. This animal will require continued care, so it is strongly recommended to contact your veterinarian to form a management plan.As the new owner, you will assume ALL financial responsibility for the future medical care of your pet. It is recommended to talk to your regular veterinarian regarding any needed future care, before you make the decision to adopt this pet."I would really love a home to call my own! Could you be the one to give me that? I would really love to break free from the shelter! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 36.63 Age: 3yrs 6mths 4wks

Story
A 5 year old beagle/basset hound mix. Friendly, intelligent, easy to train. Loves to sit out in the sun, has never met a chair she doesn't love to jump up and sit in to relax. She's got a great sense of humor and a playful side to her that shines brightly. She would do best in a home that has no other pets or children. She does suffer from allergies and is overweight.
