Story
**WCHS is adopting me from a foster home to help reduce my stress. Please call the shelter if you are interested in meeting me!**· Intake Reason: surrendered due to owner's healthKnown with:· Cats: Unknown· Dogs: Does well in WCHS playgroups, wanders around· Kids: exposed to all ages and did wellHi my name is Spock! After being adopted for many years I unfortunately had to be returned to WCHS due to the declining health of my owner. I am what some people might call a "Super Senior" because I'm almost 14 years old. Although I do have some slower days, I am still pretty active and love to go for walks. I also enjoy meandering around in WCHS playgroups. As you may know, with age tends to come some health concerns. I'm believed to me mostly deaf and I do have cataracts, giving me some limited vision. I definitely can still see treats! Being a Beagle, my nose also still works exceptionally well! I also have a history of infrequent seizures that correlate to stressful events, such as fireworks and gunshots. Due to the scarce amount of seizures I've experienced in the last 6 years, WCHS believes that my condition should be easily managed by keeping me in stress-free situations. There is a possibility that over the counter calming supplements may help as well. If you have any questions please call the shelter or come in and meet me in person and see how much life I have left to live!

Story
Meet Otto! Our loveable pal who is not shy about expressing his enthusiasm for life - and treats! Otto's zest for life is contagious, he's always up for a good walk around the block! He's secretly a big softie who adores being the center of your attention. He can make everyone around him smile and drop treats at the blink of an eye. With Otto, you'll never have to worry about a dull moment. Otto may do well in a home with another dog, but so far has not found a dog he really likes being around! He's a bit of a picky guy! Otto knows for sure he does not like kitties and would do best with a no cat household. If you're ready for a life of laughter, joy, and a treat jar that'll need refilling, contact the adoption staff at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org!

Story
Hi there, I'm Baron and I am a 45 lb LAP DOG..or so I say! I am a 2.5 year old Beagle mix and practically perfect. Neutered and house trained. Crates up when I'm told to go to my room. Quiet unless still in crate and I need to go potty. I love stuffed squeaky toys. Super sweet. Dog friendly after proper introduction. I Loooooves doing ZOOMIES!!!! A bit higher energy level than most. Little kids or small older folks would not be ideal. Pretty sure I'd accidentally knock kids down. All I want is attention and rubs and a FENCED yard to run to my hearts content. Maybe even a playmate would be fun, then we could wear each other out! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
We we're asked to foster a puppy, a few years back. We had just lost a few dogs due to old age. They said it would only be about a month while her human went in for knee surgery. Well she is definitely not a puppy. And it has been almost 2 years and they never came to retrieve her. When she first came to us she seem to be timid towards females too timid. She has never bitten anyone since she has been here. But she growled and nipped at me and my 14yr granddaughter when she first came to live with us. My granddaughter got close to Lily. which helped She has changed a lot while she been with us. Completely different dog. She has her own collar, leash, food dish, bed, clothes I will throw in a kennel LILY is a great dog, She just needs a loving family who she can call her own. NO A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CALL HER THEIR OWN. It is easy make happy her spend time with her, You dont need to do anything simply be in the same room and she is happy.
