Story
Bandit is a sweet senior who wants nothing more than your love. He is the perfect combination of sweet and shy that makes your heart melt. While his pictures make him look big, he is actually a pocket sized rottweiler mix at about 55 pounds. He loves his trusted humans unconditionally and wants to shadow you whenever he can. Bandit is guaranteed to add lots of love, kisses and cuddles to your life. Where there is warmth you will find Bandit; warmth from the sun, from a heater, from a fur friend or from a human. He sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog and will plop himself on your lap for a nap, taking comfort in being with his human. Check out Bandit's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwlJxEafkJcZ23qSb8i_8EPM He loves to play with his foster sister and sometimes looks quite goofy, which just adds to his charming personality. He is crate-trained, fully house-trained and walks well on a leash. He is highly treat motivated and is learning in foster care to do things like sit, lay down, stay, be a gentleman, and wait. Bandit has lived with small dogs, dogs his size, adult men, and adult women and has done well with all. He does take a moment to warm up to new people, sounds, and places. Bandit has a few health issues going on that sometimes impact his behavior. He has hip dysplasia, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, and early stage kidney disease. While 99% of the time Bandit is an absolute sweetheart, if any of his medication is off, if he overdoes his physical exercise, or if he is feeling anxious he may growl or snap. Because of this, Bandit should only be adopted by an experienced dog handler. Bandit is currently on thyro-tabs, joint supplements, and anti-anxiety medication. The cost of all of his medication is less than $100 per month. Bandit deserves his forever family. Brutus is a big puppy that has a ton of love to give! He loves everyone he meets and is a great cuddle buddy. In the morning he will wake you up with kisses and loves riding in the car. He will even look over your shoulder to make sure you’re following the law. Brutus is good on leash and knows some commands like sit, down, and shake. He is working on not jumping when he’s super excited and meeting new people. Brutus does well with other dogs and he’s good around kids, just exercise caution. He hasn’t met cats but is suspected to do fine and he is working on his house training. Brutus is neutered, up to date on vaccine, and chipped. Story
Isla is a beautiful White German Shepherd who loves to play and run. She would love an athletic family to take her out for fun and adventures. Isla loves swimming, training sessions, grooming time and tug of war. Her favorite game by far though is keep away and she can play that game for hours! Isla is very friendly with people and does great with children! She can get over excited when meeting other dogs, and has prey drive towards cats, so at this time she is recommended to be an only dog. With slow introductions she may do well with another friendly dog. Isla is super smart and curious and is always ready to serve her humans to the best of her ability. She does great with training and picks up new skills quickly. Isla is currently working on her quiet voice when around other dogs and also to ignore the all-too tempting kitties. Isla is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Isla to see if she is a good fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.
