Nikko was acquired from the DeKalb Humane Society in ~ November 2026. He is about three years old and appears to be intelligent. However, he barks and growls at some adults - friends and relatives who visit our home. We have neighbors with small children and weekly visiting small grandchildren - we never have a good sense of confidence of how this dog will behave, though his aggressive behavior has been limited to growling and barking.

Finley | Male | German Shepherd/Husky Mix | Born 1/2/2020 | Neutered & MicrochippedMeet Finley! A handsome, devoted 6-year-old who just needs the right environment to thrive. He came to us as a rehome and has been a loyal companion, but with a senior dog in our home, we can no longer give him what he needs.Finley does best as the only pet, or maybe a female dog. He is food-motivated and very trainable for the right person: a structured routine and mindful feeding setup will set him up for success. He's high energy and loves having a job to do, so daily exercise and activity are a must.Like many Shepherds, Finley is a true one-person dog; fiercely loyal and devoted to his owner. He takes time to fully trust new people and flourishes best in a calm, consistent home with an experienced owner who understands working breeds.Finley has so much love to give and deserves someone who sees his potential.

Story
Finn is a great dog. He is well behaved but also has energy to run around outside and go on long walks. He loves playing fetch as well. Finn does have EPI so he requires a powder that goes on his food. We are hoping to find someone who can give him more time and attention than we currently can.
