Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Doby came to us under difficult circumstances. He was dropped off at a foster's boarding facility without official approval and arrived with almost no information. The only details we were given were that he previously lived with another dog and with children. He was known simply as "Doby." We are estimating his age to be around 1.5 years. Since arriving, Doby has shown us that he is a very scared and uncertain boy who is struggling to make sense of all the changes in his life. Right now, he needs time, patience, and understanding as he learns that he is safe. While he is beginning to show glimpses of who he truly is, he is not the type of dog who will immediately trust strangers or settle into a new home overnight. Doby is looking for an experienced, dog-savvy home that understands the challenges of helping a dog with a difficult and largely unknown past. His future family must be willing to go at his pace, build trust through consistency, and provide the structure and support he needs to gain confidence. Because of his fear and uncertainty, Doby will require a secure physical fence. A tall privacy fence or a very tall chain-link fence is non-negotiable. He is not a candidate for an invisible fence, tie-out, or an unfenced property. Doby has lived with children ages 1 year to 9 years and two other dogs, a small Yorkie and a large lab, who we are told bossed Doby around. Doby may not be the easiest dog you'll ever meet, but for the right person, helping him learn that the world isn't such a scary place could be incredibly rewarding. He deserves a family willing to see past his fear and give him the chance to finally feel safe, loved, and understood. If you have the experience, patience, and commitment to help Doby write a new chapter, he is waiting for someone to believe in him. ❤️ www.uniteddobermanrescue.orgClick here to watch a video of Doby Foster Needed!.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.United Doberman Rescue Adoption Process Application Submission: Complete the adoption application thoroughly. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Nellie a stunning 8-year-old blue Doberman girl with a classic cropped and docked look and a heart just as beautiful as her sweet eyes. She’s the kind of dog who turns heads everywhere she goes—and once you meet her, she’ll win your heart just as fast. She has some hair thinning and areas of hair loss. She may need a little extra skin care and a family who understands that her beauty shines far beyond her coat. She is also heartworm positive but has started treatment and is on road to recovery. Nellie is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves her people and enjoys being part of the action. She’s ready for a stable, loving home where she can settle in, be cherished, and finally stop worrying about what’s next. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul and don’t mind a little “less fur, more love,” Nellie just might be your perfect match.Click here to watch a video of Nellie.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.United Doberman Rescue Adoption Process Application Submission: Complete the adoption application thoroughly. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Enzo — a striking 1-year-old black and rust Doberman with cropped ears, a docked tail, and all the charm, energy, and personality people love about the breed. Enzo is a young, active boy with a fun-loving spirit and a bright future ahead of him. His family was unprepared for his high energy and changing work schedules have made it difficult to give Enzo the time, structure, and attention he truly deserves. They have made the difficult decision to help him find a home better suited to his needs and energy level. Enzo has lived successfully with a female Shepherd, a small male dog, and older children. He enjoys companionship, activity, and being part of the family. As a typical young Doberman, he is intelligent, energetic, and eager to stay busy. He will thrive in a home that can provide continued training, daily exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent guidance as he matures. Whether it’s walks, adventures, playtime, or learning new things, Enzo is happiest when he’s engaged with his people. He has all the makings of an incredible companion for someone who understands the breed and is ready to invest in a young Doberman during these important developmental years. Enzo will be fully vetted prior to adoption and is ready to begin his next chapter with a family committed to helping him become the amazing dog he is meant to be.
