Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.1 year old Doby came to us under difficult circumstances. He was dropped off at a foster's boarding facility without official approval and arrived with almost no information. The only details we were given were that he previously lived with another dog and with children. He was known simply as "Doby."  Since arriving, Doby has shown us that he is a very scared and uncertain boy who is struggling to make sense of all the changes in his life. Right now, he needs time, patience, and understanding as he learns that he is safe. While he is beginning to show glimpses of who he truly is, he is not the type of dog who will immediately trust strangers or settle into a new home overnight. Doby is looking for an experienced, dog-savvy home that understands the challenges of helping a dog with a difficult and largely unknown past. His future family must be willing to go at his pace, build trust through consistency, and provide the structure and support he needs to gain confidence. Because of his fear and uncertainty, Doby will require a secure physical fence. A tall privacy fence or a very tall chain-link fence is non-negotiable. He is not a candidate for an invisible fence, tie-out, or an unfenced property. Doby has lived with children ages 1 year to 9 years and two other dogs, a small Yorkie and a large lab, who we are told bossed Doby around. Doby LOVES other dogs!!! He has been thriving playing with the other dogs at daycare! Helping him learn that the world isn't such a scary place could be incredibly rewarding. He deserves a family willing to see past his fear and give him the chance to finally feel safe, loved, and understood. If you have the experience, patience, and commitment to help Doby write a new chapter, he is waiting for someone to believe in him. ❤️ www.uniteddobermanrescue.orgClick here to watch a video of Atlas aka Doby Foster Needed!.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.United Doberman Rescue Adoption Process Application Submission: Complete the adoption application thoroughly. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Eisen! Looking for a loyal sidekick with movie-star looks and enough enthusiasm to keep life exciting? Meet Eisen, a striking 4-year-old red Doberman with cropped ears, a docked tail, and a heart as handsome as his appearance. Eisen came to United Doberman Rescue alongside his lifelong friend, Rue, after their devoted owner experienced serious health issues and could no longer care for them. This was a heartbreaking decision made out of love, and now Eisen is hoping for a fresh start with a family of his own. If you're searching for a dog who is ready for adventure, Eisen is your guy! He is incredibly athletic, large and in charge, strong, and full of energy. Think around 90+ pounds! He'll thrive in an active home where he can enjoy long walks, hikes, runs, or adventures with his people. Even better, Eisen would love a job! He is great with other dogs and even CATS!!! His intelligence and eagerness to learn make him an excellent candidate for obedience, scent work, agility, rally, or any activity that keeps both his mind and body engaged. Don't let all that energy fool you. Once the day's fun is over, Eisen is more than happy to settle in and cuddle with his favorite people. He's the perfect combination of adventure buddy by day and couch companion by night. Eisen is house trained and pen trained, making his transition into a new home much easier. He has excellent manners in the home and is ready to continue being the wonderful companion he has always been. Eisen is fully vetted, healthy, and ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a family who will cherish him forever. Could Eisen be the loyal best friend you've been waiting for? Please read our adoption requirements first to ensure you qualify to adopt, then complete an adoption application on our website at www.uniteddobermanrescue.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Nellie! We think Nellie is around 4-6 years old—quite a bit younger than the shelter originally estimated. Apparently, even shelters can get a lady's age wrong! This gorgeous blue Doberman has the classic cropped ears and docked tail that make people stop and admire her. But Nellie's real beauty comes from her sweet, expressive eyes and her loving personality. When Nellie first came into rescue, she had some hair thinning and patchy hair loss. Typical with blue Dobermans but her hair is getting thicker! She's feeling so much better these days, although she may always need a little extra skin care and a sweater collection, such a Diva! She was also heartworm positive when she arrived in January, but she has successfully completed her treatment, thanks to some loving rescue angels who footed her entire vet bill with the best specialist in the USA, they even did a full cardio work up on Nellie who has been found clear of any kind of heart issues!  This girl has been given a clean bill of health by the best doctors a dog could ever want. She's healthy, happy, and finally ready to find the forever home she's been waiting for. Nellie is incredibly smart and absolutely loves training. She enjoys learning new things, thrives on attention, and forms deep bonds with her people. She's affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she's spending time with her favorite humans. Now, let's talk about Nellie's one little request... She has informed us (quite clearly, we might add) that she'd really prefer to be the Queen of Her Castle. While she can be selective about other dogs, she has absolutely no doubts about people—they're her favorite! She'd love a home where she can soak up all the attention, supervise the household, and keep a watchful eye on her kingdom from a securely fenced yard. Neighborhood squirrels have been put on notice. Oh and no cats please.  Poor Nellie has been patiently waiting in rescue far longer than she should have. Frankly, she's starting to wonder if she's accidentally become part of the office furniture. Every day she checks the schedule, wondering when her family is finally going to show up. She's beginning to suspect everyone thinks she's on the management team. We are going to have to start giving her a paycheck if she doesn't find her family soon! Nellie promises to be your loyal shadow, your faithful protector, your walking buddy, your couch companion, and your biggest fan. In return, she asks for belly rubs, a comfy bed, plenty of love, treats and the official title of Chief Executive Doberman of your household. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a wonderful sense of humor, a gentle soul, and just the right amount of royal attitude, Nellie is ready to rule your heart. Please! Don't make Her Majesty wait any longer. She has a kingdom to run—and she's hoping it's yours. ❤️ Go on over to our website at www.uniteddobermanrescue.org and read our adoption requirements. If you qualify, please fill out a adoption application!
