Meet Luna Lou, our senior, bashful sheppy girl who is ready for her forever home! At just shy of 8 years, Lou got surrendered into our care after her family was moving and they could not take her with. Lou was born in that house and lived her entire life there, successfully with other dogs, too! She also lived with lots of children, and would most likely do well again in a family, pending a successful m&g. She may take some time to warm up at first, which is typical Shepherd behavior, but once she learns to trust again in her new home she will thrive! She does not have a lot of leash manners, and can be pretty reactive on the leash and while on walks, since she gets excited when she sees other dogs she cannot immediately greet. She does well with dogs off leash, so if you have another dog at home looking for a senior sister, bring them down to meet! We are still getting to know her, but we love what we see so far. Story
Meet Sadie ❤️ Sadie’s story began on the Natchez Trace in Mississippi. She was found alone near the Cypress Swamp trail, emerging from the woods with no collar and looking muddy and tired as though she had been out there for quite some time. A kind stranger stopped to hike and noticed Sadie following along. She circled back several times, and after being offered food and water, she slowly began to trust her new friend. After nearly an hour of waiting to see if someone would come looking for her, it became clear that Sadie needed help. Attempts were made to locate her family and find a safe place for her locally, but shelters were full or unable to take her. Sadie is now currently in a foster home with Furry Angel Friends. She has now been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, and heartworm prevention. She is a sweet girl with moderate to high energy and enjoys being with her people. She is housetrained and does well with other dogs. She has already shown that she is smart, resilient, and willing to trust again despite whatever brought her to the woods that day. We don't know how Sadie ended up alone on the Trace, but we do know that she deserves a family who will never leave her behind. ❤️ Sadie currently weighs approximately 40-45 pounds. 💲 Adoption Fee: $350 Your pups adoption fee includes: 🐶 Spay/neuter 💉 Age-appropriate vaccinations 🪱 Deworming/ flea prevention ❤️ Current heartworm prevention 📍 Microchip Adoptions take place at the North Fayette Petsmart in Robinson Township.
