Story
Introducing Reyna, the regal and affectionate Rottweiler mix who lives up to her name as the Queen of the Good Girls. Reyna is ready to reign supreme in her forever home, surrounded by love and care. Reyna's journey began when she was found on the highway, abandoned and in desperate need of help. Despite her challenging start in life, Reyna's resilience and loving nature shone through. She captured the hearts of those who discovered her, and her transformation began. This beautiful girl is a Rottweiler mix, displaying the distinctive markings and strong physique of her breed. While her exact mix may be a mystery, her gentle and loving demeanor sets her apart as a special companion. Reyna is best suited to a home with older kids who can understand and respect her needs. Although she is a sweetheart, her size and strength may be better suited to older children who can handle her with care. She is not compatible with cats, so a feline-free household is necessary. When it comes to her fellow canines, Reyna prefers larger dogs. A meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure compatibility and a harmonious living environment, however she can go to a family out of town who either has no others or an easy going dog. Reyna thrives on positive interactions and socialization, making her a wonderful companion for those with existing canine family members. This majestic girl is crate-trained and does not experience separation anxiety. She is comfortable spending time in her crate and will appreciate having a safe and cozy space to call her own. Reyna has already learned the simple trick of sitting for treats, showcasing her intelligence and willingness to please. Reyna has a list of favorite things that bring her joy. She relishes car rides, delighting in the wind blowing through her fur as she accompanies her family on their adventures. Rolling in the grass and exploring the neighborhood during walks are among her cherished pastimes. Reyna loves running and exercising her energetic nature, so an active lifestyle is essential for her well-being. When it's time to unwind, Reyna appreciates soft blankets and toys that provide comfort and entertainment. She adores spending time with her beloved humans, soaking up their affection and companionship. Reyna is a loyal and devoted companion, always ready to be by your side. While Reyna has her preferences, there are a couple of dislikes to note. She is not fond of cats, and water is not her favorite element. Understanding and respecting these preferences will help ensure a harmonious home environment for Reyna. Reyna's story is one of resilience and triumph over adversity. From her initial discovery, where she was found dumped on the highway, to her miraculous transformation into a loving and gentle soul, she has shown incredible strength and a capacity for love. If you're searching for a royal canine companion, Reyna is waiting to be crowned the queen of your heart and home. With her regal presence, gentle nature, and unwavering loyalty, she will bring immeasurable joy to your life. Welcome Reyna into your family, and let her reign over a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventures by your side. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST!!! I am the same way, I am sweet on one side and salty on the other- together we are perfect! I have a tale to tell, however, none of it matters anymore because I am here right now to tell you- the best is yet to come! I am a big love bug, and although I can be nervous at first- I settle in quickly to be just a big couch potato! I am good with other dogs and would love to have a friend for life in my forever home. I am good with calm older dogs, not much for puppy energy all.the.time... :) I love kids, and would be great with school aged/teenagers (and not many others LIKE teenagers so I can be their buddy :) and would be good in a calmer/quieter home. I want so much to please my family and will look to you for love and attention. I also need a strong leadership family- I have tried to take over control in my first adoptive home and it was not appreciated. SO, you need to be my boss, it's not hard- just let me know you are someone I can trust to keep me safe and take EXCELLENT care of me- with love and more love and I will LET you be in control. Simple as that :) I am a big boy, about 75#, with GORGEOUS colors and markings. I will melt your heart when you look into my amber eyes and into my sweet soul. So don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! I need to stay in TX so my rescuers can keep tabs on me and see me every once in awhile, cause they are going to MISS ME!!! But, adoption is why I am here, so they will get over it! I was found out on the streets, skinny and sad with these HUGE marks all around my muzzle :( It is obvious to the rescuers that I had been bound around my mouth/muzzle for an extended point of time..... no words can express how sad and heartbroken this makes my rescue peeps feel, cause I am the BESTEST girl! Loving and smart and GREAT with EVERYONE I meet!! I have puppy-dog brown eyes that'll absolutely pull at your heart strings, so careful when I look up at you! I have the ability to melt you into jelly, so get ready to make me your NEWEST family member!! My rescue peeps will be very picky about my forever family, so get ready for the grilling :) BUT I AM SO SO WORTH IT. ADOPT.......>DON'T SHOP!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!!! Story
Grace is around 3 years old and I am currently fostering her. She is a Rottie mix out of San Antonio, Texas, and was on the euthanasia list. She is an energetic and playful girl, who is very treat motivated. She does well in a crate and is working on her leash manners also. She would make the perfect companion for someone with an active lifestyle. She is learning to socialize with other dogs, but would definitley require and meet and greet if you already have a furbaby.

Meet Bearette! This super sweet girl is a full blooded Rottweiler! She is 7 years old and weighs 88 pounds. Bearette was surrendered to the shelter after the owners neighbor started poisoning their dogs for coming into their yard! Her owner didn't want to have to put her on a chain. She is such a good girl, house training will be easy because she never ever potties in her kennel at the shelter, she wants to go outside. She is good with other dogs and kids! ##2006531##

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Reggie. I'm about 3 years old and I weigh about 75 lbs. My friend Mr. Big and I were dropped off here at the pound after hours, so nobody really knows our back story. We've both been super sweet, good boys since making our way in to the pound. I have been good around the other dogs I've met since coming into the pound. I have not been around cats yet, but a cat test can be done if you need to know if I am okay around cats or not. I seem to have been a house dog before making my way into the pound. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.

Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to the Pittsburgh area. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to the Pittsburgh area. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted.
