Vance is an absolutely striking Beauceron/Shepherd mix with a happy easy-going personality. He’s 10 months old and still growing. He’s a big boy at 57 pounds. He arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/6 as a stray. Vance is curious and investigates his surroundings thoroughly. His tail is in constant wagging. He is highly motivated by treats, and when offered one he first jumps up before he sits. He does not jump on you. He’s friendly, well mannered, and affectionate. He may be housetrained. He walks OK on a leash. He hasn`t show any interest in other dogs, yet please ask the shelter for a dog test if you have another pup in the home. This gentle giant will need a secured yard to investigate and to live indoors where he can be close to his human companions.

Farrah — she’s a senior German Shepherd whose hips are starting to show her years. What she really needs now is a quiet home with a fenced yard for gentle strolls and a cozy couch to call her own. Farrah is ready to spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, love, and the simple joys of just being home. Farrah is house and crate trained, responds to “crate” and “leave it,” and is super friendly with people—especially men. She wagged her tail happily at kids from a distance but hasn’t had close interactions yet. Her dog-friendliness is still a mystery. This sweet boy is Arnie. He is a large boy that loves to run! He currently has about an acre to run with three buddies and he likes water. He is a very food motivated boy, so we don't recommend a home with small children. Arnie is neutered and up to date on vacs and is crate trained.
