This 1-year-old neutered male Beauceron/Shepherd mix is a striking sight at 57 pounds and promises to be a magnificent adult when fully mature. He arrived at Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/6 as a stray and has charmed everyone with his happy, easy-going spirit. Vance is endlessly curious, exploring every inch of his surroundings with a wagging tail that rarely takes a break. He’s highly treat-motivated and shows off his eagerness by giving a little hop before sitting politely for his reward. Friendly, well-mannered, and affectionate, his gentle nature shines through in every interaction. This big-hearted boy may already be housetrained and can pull a bit on a leash with excitement. He hasn’t shown much interest in other dogs. Vance is searching for a rescue partner. His combination of intelligence, sweetness, and striking presence makes him an outstanding candidate for adoption or foster placement. Now safe and cared for, Fudge, Cookie, and Donut are thriving and growing into beautiful young dogs. They’ve been raised around children and absolutely adore attention from their little human friends—though they’re just as happy soaking up love from adults too. Like all puppies, they’re full of wiggles, excitement, and curiosity about the world around them. These sweet treats are looking for families who have the time, patience, and love to continue their training and help them grow into the amazing dogs they’re meant to be. Oliver’s story is nothing short of remarkable. He was rescued from the side of I-45, scared and scruffy, but has since blossomed into a soft-coated, golden-furred lovebug who is ready for his forever home. At 2.5 years old and weighing around 70 lbs, we've taken all the hard work out raising a puppy. One of his siblings was DNA tested and came back 67% Great Pyrenees and 33% German Shepherd, and that mix fits him perfectly. He has the gentle, affectionate nature of a Pyrenees paired with the loyal, people-focused personality of a Shepherd. He even sports a cute curl in his tail. No double dew claws here, just extra charm. Ollie’s favorite things in life are simple and sweet: • Being close to his people • Soaking up affection • Giving gentle, soulful love He’s the kind of dog who leans into you, quietly asking to be loved, and once he trusts you, he’s all in. Hi! This is BC. We took him in from a rescue last Summer. He adores my special needs children, but longs for kids to play with him in a yard or home, which is something my kids struggle to do. He is so kind to them, other dogs, and our cat, he just craves more attention than our family can give. He is crate and potty trained, does not prefer rawhide dog bones but loves the silicone chews with flavoring. The only thing that scares him are the "wee-woos" as my kids say (sirens) so he will need gentle reassurance if a fire truck is going by. He would make a wonderful addition to an active family or individual.
