While she may look like a powerhouse, she is actually a sensitive soul who is looking for a peaceful sanctuary to call her own.Her Story-Gemma recently came to us after finding apartment life a bit too overwhelming. The `hustle and bustle` of city living and thin walls kept her on high alert, so she is dreaming of a home where she can swap the hallway noises for a quiet backyard and a cozy couch.Personality & Training-A Perfect Gem: Gemma is a timid girl who starts out shy, but once she trusts you, she truly sparkles! She is a `perfect gem` of a homebody who warms up quickly with a few treats and a little patience.A Smart Cookie: She is currently in a foster home where she`s showing off her skills! She is crate trained, very intelligent, and eager to learn, making her a dream for anyone who enjoys positive-reinforcement training.Energy Level: She loves a good romp in the yard but is just as happy to spend the rest of the day curled up next to you on the sofa.Compatibility-Children: Because Gemma is a bit shy and quite large, she’d prefer a calm home with older, respectful children who can give her space when she needs it.Dogs: She enjoys making new canine friends, though she can be a little `socially awkward` at first! We recommend a dog-to-dog meet-and-greet at the shelter to make sure she and your resident pup are a perfect match.Cats/Small Critters: Gemma does get very excited by squirrels and rabbits!
