Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA state & Oregon but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal. DunDun has had the worst start to life & yet he still loves humans. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. We know he was used as a breeding machine for how many years, we are not sure of. But once the awful breeder was done using him he was then sold to a slaughterhouse. We cannot even begin to imagine what DunDun witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. He then ended up staying at the rescuers base the whole time until we rescued him. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued DunDun & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting DunDun out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as DunDun & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now DunDun is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. DunDun was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. DunDun was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. DunDun was so lovely from the moment we rescued him & is such a sweet soul inside & out. He will stand up on his hind legs for you to hug him & give him love. He is a very gentle patient little soul. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. We do believe he was hit on his bottom with a stick previously. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a very sweet little guy & transitioned quite quickly even with the change in language. His foster mum & dad said he is just so joyous & friendly & can cuddle up to you & will follow the other dogs around but is independent as well. He is smart & can run up & down hardwood stairs. He will also want to cuddle in bed with you & get on the bed to sleep with you. He now loves to run & play with his foster siblings at first he had no clue what to do & must go to a home with a dog who wants to play. DunDun eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. He is absolutely obsessed with his food & we can’t stress that enough. We believe that for a long time his food was restricted. We have been teaching him to share out of the same bowl with other dogs & he does amazing. All of his treats are homemade DunDun has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. DunDun is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. DunDun adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to DunDun & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He now loves his toys in his foster home. DunDun has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With DunDun we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He does not like crates especially after everything he has been through. We are also looking for a forever home for DunDun where someone is home during the day or DunDun can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit too. DunDun is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. DunDun has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company in his loving foster home. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for DunDun’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. DunDun is now roughly 24.3 lbs & 7 years old & a bedlington & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. DunDun received a dental in China & he has several patch’s of fur that have grown back in from living in a crate that were rubbed off from friction in a crate. We have spent over $2000 on DunDun with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. DunDun has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had DunDun with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when DunDun was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & DunDun’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is DunDun potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting DunDun & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for DunDun who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. DunDun has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
