The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal. Rabbit has had the worst start to life & yet he still loves humans. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. We know he was used as a breeding machine, we are not sure for how long? But once the awful breeder was done using him he was then sold to a slaughterhouse. We cannot even begin to imagine what Rabbit witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. He then ended up staying at the rescuers base the whole time until we rescued him. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Rabbit & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Rabbit out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Rabbit & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Rabbit is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Rabbit was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Rabbit was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Sweet Rabbit is a soft gentle soul who we could tell was not treated properly & needs to earn your trust. Rabbit was so lovely from the moment we rescued him & is such a sweet soul inside & out though. Once he builds that trust with you he comes running up to you & is so goofy & affectionate his foster family said. He will stand up on his hind legs for you to hug him & give him love. But this is after the trust is built. He is a very gentle patient little soul. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. We do believe he was hit on his bottom with a stick previously. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a very sweet little guy & transitioned quite quickly even with the change in language. His foster mum & dad said he is just so joyous & friendly & can cuddle up to you & will follow the other dogs around but is independent as well. He is smart & can run up & down hardwood stairs. He will also want to cuddle in bed with you & get on the bed to sleep with you. He came with who we believe could be his sister Candy & they do love each other but love any dog who will hang out with each of them & play with them. He now loves to run & play with his foster siblings at first he had no clue what to do & must go to a home with a dog who wants to play. We want to say he absolutely adores his foster mum as he gets so much love from her. Rabbit eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. He is absolutely obsessed with his food & we can’t stress that enough. We believe that for a long time his food was restricted. We have been teaching him to share out of the same bowl with other dogs & he does amazing. All of his treats are homemade Rabbit has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Rabbit is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Rabbit adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. We have had to groom him down really close as he had so many mats. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Rabbit & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He now loves his toys in his foster home. We have been working on him not eating poop. We know he did not get to eat the way he is now but we will still sometimes catch him but he is doing so much better with this. Rabbit has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Rabbit we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He does not like crates especially after everything he has been through. We are also looking for a forever home for Rabbit where someone is home during the day or Rabbit can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit too. Rabbit is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Rabbit has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company in his loving foster home. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Rabbit’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Rabbit is now roughly 15.4 lbs & 1.9 months & year old & a bedlington terrier & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. This boy was very thin when we got him & have been putting weight on him. We have spent over $2000 on Rabbit with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Rabbit has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Rabbit with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Rabbit was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Rabbit’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Rabbit potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Rabbit & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Rabbit who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Rabbit has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Me me me me meeeeeee!!!!!! What? Oh. My foster mom says that is NOT how to spell my name. It is spelled “MiMi" which sounds the same but who cares how it is spelled. I am a vintage model of a little poodle and I was a much loved member of the family at one time. Not to say that I am spoiled or anything but I know what I want when I want it! So it really is all about me! I adore being around my people and love being held. I will make little whimpering noises if you are there and I think I haven’t had enough lap time and look at you with my puppy dog eyes so that you feel guilty and pick me up where I want to be. I am a healthy 14 year old poodle who is scheduled for spay and teeth cleaning on Jan. 5th and then will be able to go to my new home after that. I use a potty pad when I am sleeping on the floor, but my foster mom puts a diaper on me when I sleep on your bed because I am not too keen about jumping off the bed. So when I have to potty, if I am on the bed, sometimes I will potty the bed. But the diaper takes care of that. I am a whopping 10 pounds and do walk pretty well of a leash as long as you don’t walk too fast. I am housebroken if you take me out on a schedule. Adoption fee in Texas is $200 Out of State fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $450.

Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.
