Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Cupid from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 3 year old male Poodle.  I am about 22 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,695 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     February 28, 2024, 8:46 pm

Story
Meet Sparrow! She came in and was very scared at first, but a wonderful foster took her home and she's thriving! Sparrow is a little poodle/schnauzer mix around 10 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is learning all sorts of fun things like walks in a grassy yard, smelling flowers, baths and belly rubs. She is non-shedding. She loves to be brushed and sleeps great in her kennel all night. She loves snuggling on the couch with her people, tug o' war, and fetching her stuffed bear are her new hobbies. She's house trained and loves to follow her person around. She walks great on leash and does well with kids she meets around the neighborhood.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.March 1, 2024, 9:34 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Walter is an approximately 1-year-old ~16lb male poodle mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in San Bernardino. He was kenneled with other dogs and friendly with people at the shelter. We will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update:  Walter is a super cute energetic dude! He LOVES toys - all the toys- and will empty the basket or just climb in to play! He is a good little walker and does well on leash. Walter is potty trained and working on his  crate training. He will sleep in his crate at night without issue but can be a bit whiny during the day or when left alone, so this is still a work in progress. Walter doesn’t appreciate dogs in his face so a calm, neutral canine companion might be ok for him, but he will likely be easier as an only dog. He is a little too curious about the cat in his foster home, so any feline siblings will need to be dog-savvy and able to set boundaries with him.  Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to the San Bernardino City shelter on Jan 26 and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle arriving to foster care on Feb 4, 2024. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 1, 2024, 8:28 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Maestro is an estimated 5-year-old 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was rescued from SBC shelter and arriving to Seattle area foster care on Sunday Feb 18th. In the last year he had been picked up as a stray and returned to owner a few times but this last time his owner didn't come for him. At the shelter he was kenneled with other dogs, and assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more info on Maestro as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Updates: Yes I bought Maestro a little bowtie and did a little photoshoot. How could I not get him a bowtie with "Maestro" for a name? He has a lot of personality; very spunky and playful, likes very much to be around people and has been great with my resident dogs (friendly but polite). He loves to twirl around and play tug-o-war. We're working on crate training, he doesn't love being crated and left alone. No accidents yet and so far has been non-reactive on leash, just pulls a little. He seems very smart and knows sit, has caught on to "lay down" too. Very food motivated and I think will take to training well. Maestro is a little mouthy taking treats, so we are only considering adult households for him. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Maestro was found as a stray in San Bernardino and rescued by our partner ARF, transferred to Dog Gone Seattle, arriving to Seattle area foster care on 2/18. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. March 1, 2024, 8:28 pm

Story
My name is Giljuk, and at 7 years old, I'm a poodle eagerly awaiting my forever home. Unfortunately, my past was marked by hardship. I endured years of abuse at the hands of a family struggling with anger management issues. Thankfully, someone intervened, and I was rescued by a rescue team in South Korea. If you're seeking a cuddly, affectionate, and delightful companion, look no further! I'm great with people and even strangers, happily welcoming pets and showing my friendliness by offering my belly for rubs. With other dogs, I'm super-friendly too, but I tend to gravitate more towards people in a dog park setting. My energy level is moderate, enjoying walks while remaining calm indoors. I'm a breeze to walk, sticking close to my handler without pulling. Given my strong attachment to people, there's a chance I might experience separation anxiety, so early training is key. In the car, I'm content in my crate. For potty habits, i do both indoors and outdoors, though once our routine is established, outdoor potty will be the norm. If you're ready for a loving and devoted companion, I'm the perfect match for you! Don't hesitate to contact my trusted team right away! FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Fiona! She is an adorable 9-month-old Poodle mix who came to us from a difficult situation in rural area in CA in search of a better life. She does well with other dogs and would love another dog friend in the home but could do fine on her own as well with continued socialization. Fiona is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and will be spayed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $550.

Story
Gismo is a 2-year-old Poodle male about 15 lb. He's pretty good with other dogs and is being fostered in a home. His previous home was unable to keep him. He's can be vocal and high-strung. He's very cuddly and cute once he gets to know you. He can be wary of new people and new situations so taking it slow when you first meet him is crucial. He does fine in a crate. Gismo would do best with a single owner. He does fine with other dogs. No kids for Gismo, as he can bite when he's frightened or feels cornered. Gismo needs a family with a lot of rescue experience for him to overcome his behavioral issues. Gismo is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $500.
