8 month old male, pure-bred Belgian Malinois. Pulled from Castaic Animal Shelter. Highly intelligent, energetic and motivated. Also can be very sweet and affection with his person. Would be great for a single person or a family that is familiar with the breed. Has not been kid tested. This breed historically does not do well with cats. Kilo (2.5 -3yr Neutered Male) Rescued from Moreno Valley Shelter on 10/23/25 Microchipped Housebroken Crate trained I rescued Kilo from the shelter because he was on the list to be euthanized, my intentions from the beginning was to foster but no rescue pulled him so felt my only action was to adopt to rehome. Kilo has been great with my other neutered male dog of 1yr. and my son of 9yrs. He seems to be very neutral to people and would suggest a slow introduction to other dogs. He’s a very shy/scared dog (maybe past trauma) Lower end drive for a Malinois but has been doing great and showing good signs of obedience training. Kilo is used to sleeping inside the home. Treat motivated not so much toy motivated. Does well hanging out inside the home for an extended period of time and does best with outside breaks and play in between. Is good with boundaries when taught. Once he gets to trust you he loves cuddles and loves his words of affirmation. Breed experienced is highly preferred.

My husband and I got Zeus from the shelter hours before he was euthanized. He was found abandoned on the streets and taken into shelter, where he got very sick and the shelter gave up on him. We rushed to get him the life saving vet care that he needed. With love and care, he completely recovered. He turned out to be the most loving, sweetest good boy. He was not house broken at all when he came to us. We have since gotten him neutered, crate trained, and working on potty training. He has come a long way, but still has accidents and needs a bit more time. He is good with dogs, incredibly patient with our special needs German shepherd who constantly bullies him. Once he feels safe and bonds with you, he will love you with all his heart and give you endless hugs and cuddles. He does need a lot of space or a yard and someone with an active lifestyle and the time to devote to his training and needs. He needs someone that will not give up on him again and love him unconditionally.

Jacob is a three legged dog that has fully recovered from his surgery and has adjusted nicely. Here is some of the shelter’s description of what he went through: On 10/28/24 this “stray” showed up at the shelter. Jacob was BROKEN, he had many abrasions on his front left leg which he couldn’t put weight on. To complicate things they found out later with radiographs that not only was the front left leg useless with a brachial plexus avulsion (BFA) but his right HIND leg had an old right femoral head fracture. Not only did Jacob need an amputation on his front left leg, but he would require FHO surgery on his right rear leg (it was an old injury). Jacob SUFFERED so much and yet he has always remained a sweet pup. On 11/23 a MIRACLE happened for nice dog Jacob.
