Story
This Not-So-Little Lady is spunky, silly and game! She loves engaging with her person, learning new things, and having fun! By game, we mean whatever you want to throw at her--she is there! In her photos you can see her…learning ‘chipmunk’…playing frisbee…participating in the ‘’what is longer—my ear or my tongue?’ contest (it was a tie!)

Story
Here are some of Crystal’s favorite things: playing fetch or tug, chasing squirrels, cheese, getting a belly rub from someone she knows, a frozen Kong treat, riding in a car in a crate, going on hikes. Her nickname is ‘mouse’ because of her big ears, long whiskers and her love of cheese. She is not a dog for everyone, but if you are looking for an engaged, smart, and motivated partner, she is a dog for you. If you are a Malinois person and appreciate their energy, loyalty and careful caution—she has it all. Her other nickname: 0 to 60! The other thing we appreciate about Malinois—intensity—she has that too! Crystal would excel at scent work or any dog sport that is individually based. She’s got the chops to learn and grow and has the potential to evolve with her person in conjunction with the growth of your relationship. She is very sweet and affectionate with those she knows. She came to us via a shelter in Sacramento where she had been found as a stray. The shelter noticed her toy drive (still very much intact!) and that was that. We’ve taken our time in getting to know her and figuring out what she likes (and doesn’t) and, sadly for us, it’s not USAR work that floats her boat. She has the potential to thrive in a job, if she could find the right fit and has the talent for detection work. We think she might like an adult partner (or partners) who understands Malinois, is very active and can provide outlets for her energy and her love of toy play, relationship and learning. She might like a nice yard where she can keep the squirrels out and a place to sit with you after her job is done. She might like a job or a sport, depending on what it is. She would definitely like to hike with you. She would probably like a neighborhood where she can be out and about without a ton of other dogs or people around all the time. The main thing is, if she likes you, she will be an endless source of joy and education as she blooms in your care.

Story
Hi! My name is Ophelia, and I was born at the Humane Society of Ventura County on Easter of 2021 with 12 other fur siblings. I was adopted briefly and was brought back by my previous owners due to being too energetic for their lifestyle. I do have a dog friend here, but I can be a little selective on who I can call furiends. I would do best with no kids or older kids who can give me my space when needed. I am a big bundle of love! I would love to accompany you on your outdoor adventures and then take a nap at your feet. Plus, I am a pro at playing fetch. I know a lot of basic commands and would love to learn more! Come by and meet my unique personality today, I might just steal your heart!

Story
Yvette is in foster care in Huntington Beach SO Cal area. Please note this dog is located in SO Calif. Because of the overpopulation and high kill rate of shelter dogs in our area we are trying to find our dogs good homes in other areas. Please contact us for transport information. Yvette is such a nice compact little shepherd girl who is almost 3yrs old and weighs 60 pounds. She has been waiting awhile for a family and her friend we rescued with her has been adopted leaving Yvette alone and waiting. She is gentle and playful with other dogs the same size as her in her playgroup. She likes toys, scampering and bowing around the play yard and is great in the car and on leash. She still has puppy energy and may play a little to hard to be with really small dogs and she doesn't care for kitties. For a family this dog has an amazing personality and does her best to mind and please. Yvette could play ball from sunrise till bedtime and never tires of her favorite toy. She like water and on hot days can be seen splashing contentedly in her kiddie pool. The beach lake or river would be her idea of Heaven. If you want a sweet new family friend please email Alphadogpetrescue@yahoo.com and ask for our adoption application. Adopt fee is $300 and she is fully vetted, shots, chipped and spayed.

Story
My name is Clyde, and I was found in a field with my friend, Bonita. We were brought in as strays by a good Samaritan. I will say I am one big hunk of Shepherd love!! I love my people and you never have to look far to find me as I like to stay right by your side for endless pets and love. Not to toot my own horn but I am super handsome boy that will be sure to charm my way into your heart. I am a very lovable boy once I get to know you of course and would do best in a home where I can get all the attention or with another tolerant dog that I am willing to share the love with.
