This handsome gentleman has quite the story. He was originally found in a drainage ditch on the end of a heavy chain, and on another occasion, was found in front of the shelter laying on a blankie. These days, Ace is doing great, but he`s ready to find a loving home! Check out footage from his recent Doggie Day Trip outside of the shelter, where he did great at the beach and enjoyed lunch on a restaurant patio. Chelsea is a sweet, playful, and easygoing girl who’s been thriving in her foster home. Although she’s estimated to be around 7 years old, she acts much younger and has a lovely balance of calm companionship and playful energy. She loves spending time outdoors, soaking up attention from her people, and doing her daily yard zoomies. On walks, Chelsea is alert and engaged. She may get a little excited when she spots squirrels or other dogs, but overall she walks nicely on leash. Chelsea is a smart pup who enjoys squeaky and chew toys, as well as activities that keep her mind busy. In the home, she’s been a polite and respectful houseguest, fully housebroken, does not beg for food, and easy to live with. She has been comfortable sharing space with calm, gentle large dogs at the shelter but prefers doing her own thing rather than engaging in play with them. Chelsea would love a forever home with someone looking to add a loyal, low-key adventure buddy to their family.

Max is very lovable, to the point of jealousy. He is about 3 1/2; I adopted him from Woods Animal shelter in SanLuisObispo , I was a new home owner to 1/2 an acher small house in Atascadero. My spouse and I had a bad falling out, I left the home & we are pending a difficult divorce , and I brought Max with me two months later to Ventura County. I rented a room from someone who loved Max, then I got an apartment. Max needs a yard-he has broken out of his crate, he’s destroyed my screen door & lunges towards cats and squirrels. He has dragged me and over powers me when he’s been in the house all day. I love him, but he needs training and I don’t have money for that. I have a dog walker for when I work an 8 hour shift. Anyone who gets him will Love him.
