MEET MANGO, a small and friendly active shepherd/husky mix, possibly part Belgian Malinois, in need of a foster or forever home! Mango is a 2-year-old girl who loves people and loves other dogs. She's also done well with cats! She's a sweet pup and would do best with an active person, people or family. She'd also do well with someone who works from home or is retired, because she gets bored pretty easily. Mango was originally rescued from a California shelter and now is in Washington. Mango weighs only about 48 lbs. and is a great size! She is currently in Washington but can be transported to California. Please email for an application.

Coco is a young, energetic mix who has shown many positive qualities while in our care. Staff and volunteers consistently describe her as social, affectionate, playful, highly food motivated, and eager to engage with people she knows. She enjoys toys, fetch, training activities, and attention, and has participated appropriately in shelter playgroups with other dogs.However, Coco also comes with a history of behavioral concerns in her previous home that make placement more challenging. Her former owners reported:- fearful and defensive behavior around some people, particularly children and unfamiliar situations, including lunging, barking, snapping- resource guarding behaviors in the home - conflict with another household dog and described Coco as needing slow, careful introductions to new people, animals, and environments.At the shelter, Coco has generally presented as social and manageable with staff, volunteers, and handlers, including during behavioral evaluations and dog introductions. Due to her behavioral history and specific needs, Coco is currently being recommended for rescue placement or a highly experienced adopter or foster capable of providing structure, behavior support, appropriate management, and a predictable adult-oriented environment. This handsome gentleman has quite the story. He was originally found in a drainage ditch on the end of a heavy chain, and on another occasion, was found in front of the shelter laying on a blankie. These days, Ace is doing great, but he`s ready to find a loving home! Check out footage from his recent Doggie Day Trip outside of the shelter, where he did great at the beach and enjoyed lunch on a restaurant patio. Max is very lovable, to the point of jealousy. He is about 3 1/2; I adopted him from Woods Animal shelter in SanLuisObispo , I was a new home owner to 1/2 an acher small house in Atascadero. My spouse and I had a bad falling out, I left the home & we are pending a difficult divorce , and I brought Max with me two months later to Ventura County. I rented a room from someone who loved Max, then I got an apartment. Max needs a yard-he has broken out of his crate, he’s destroyed my screen door & lunges towards cats and squirrels. He has dragged me and over powers me when he’s been in the house all day. I love him, but he needs training and I don’t have money for that. I have a dog walker for when I work an 8 hour shift. Anyone who gets him will Love him.
