Lily is a young Belgian Malinois, 50-55 lbs and 2 years old. She is pretty shy but the volunteers are working with her. She will need a patient home that lets her develop at her own pace. She has improved a lot the last few months and she is really dog friendly. The other dog in the photo is Lobo, he is also really dog friendly. She came as a stray with a similar looking dog, Holly, who may be her mom. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. Bonnie is 7 years old, going to be 8 in April. I have had her since she was 1 year old. As sad as we are to part with her, our lifestyle doesn’t suit her needs in a way that I truly believe she deserves. I am looking for a home for her that can focus on and spend time with her. Because of this, we are looking for a home where she would be the only pet. She is a very sweet and calm yet playful dog. She absolutely loves people and is gentle in the ways she interacts with people. However, she is reactive to dogs in most situations so she requires someone patient and calm who will continue to work on her reactivity with her. She is house trained, walks well on leash, and loves going to the groomers.
