Apollo is approximately 1 years old. An EMbark DNA test shows Apollo is Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd/German Shepherd mix. Apollo is a goofy, total love bug with a good puppy energy level. He knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is normally neutral to other dogs. Apollo is a euthanasia survivor from Miami Dade Animal Services. #A2690586 arrived at the shelter as a stray and due to his size and energy level, he quickly made it on the euthanasia list. He was adopted into the wrong home that let him down after less than 24 hours and later rescued by a volunteer. Two months after being out of the shelter, Apollo decompressed from the stressful shelter environment. He bloomed into a well natured puppy that seeks affection and has a beautiful play style. A DNA test was done on this stunning boy that revealed a wonderful blend of working shepherd breeds: Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd and German Shepherd. Apollo does not react to other dogs but also does not actively engage to play with them. He prefers human interaction but can be introduced to other dogs and coexist peacefully as long as he has his space. He is crate and potty trained and likes the water. He still has puppy energy and would do better in a home where he is not alone for long periods of time. Apollo has been in board and training for over a month and needs to continue to bloom into an active and loving family. Apollo is available for meet and greets in South Florida and has been evaluated by 2 trainers who are available to provide feedback on his personality and potentials. Kiara lost her owner to cancer. He was a police officer and gave her to a friend that had to recently move to a single room and could not take her. He was so desperate to not find her someone to take her that one of our volunteers spotted him with her off a busy street w a sign he made where he wrote "Free". She has been in our care since her birthday where she had just turned 5yrs old. She is very smart, sweet, loves to play with her stress ball and does well with other bigger dogs. ❤️ Let's find this beauty a home with experience.

Hi friends, my name is Francis. I’m a 1-1/2 year old Belgian Malinois mix, and I weigh 45lbs. I’m was rescued over a year ago. I was very sick and left in an abandoned house. My foster moms have the details to share. I had neurological bacteria, and it was a miracle that I not only survived but that I am able to walk and run again. I do run and walk different from all my k9 friends, but I can still chase and catch them. Many say I run/walk like a big rabbit! She loves to clear all of the toys out of the toy box! She is not at all destructive, she is playful and affectionate with her humans and canine siblings. Kira is a typical Female German Shepherd; she will bark at strangers when they enter your home or approach you on a walk. She is great with other dogs in the home. She is crate trained, fully potty trained and walks well on a leash. She will do best in a home with no small children to accidentally knock over. . You must be familiar with the breed to adopt. Kira is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. she will be spayed in January and will be adopted with a spay contract. The rescue pays for the surgery.
