Tater! Tater is a very happy, congenial guy! He is learning basic commands and is very smart with a sweet, gentle disposition. There is no shortage of energy around this boy, and he would love some kids or another dog to play with. His previous foster family gave him an A+ on his behavior, and he is more than ready to come home with you! All BCAR dogs are placed as indoor family pets. No electric fences, please. Story
Kaia has been shown in both Obedience and Rally. She was being trained in Agility. This is a 100% working breed and needs a very active home. Unfortunately, we do not have the time to continue these activities and she is getting bored (no fault of hers). She currently lives with another malinois and 10lb mutton, but she is dog reactive at first. I would love to see her go to a home that wants to show her or at least loves to exercise and can take her on walks/runs, etc. Then, at the end of the day can snuggle with her. She is so willing to please her humans.

Story
Meet Buddy! He showed up at my husband’s job a few months ago, skinny and covered in ticks. We took him in and got him UTD with shots and back to being a healthy boy! He is about one year old and HW negative. He has had some obedience training and is a quick learner. He has been a full time outdoor dog with us, so we assume he is not potty or crate trained, but we think he would pick it up very quickly. He does not seem reactive to other dogs when on walks in the neighborhood, so with proper introductions, we think he could be with other dogs. He loves playing with his squeaky balls and playing fetch! We believe he would do well with an owner that could give him that exercise and attention. He loves being pet and loved on, and being with his humans! Our circumstances have changed and we can no longer foster him. We are happy to help with the cost of getting him fixed. We just want to see him in a good, loving home!

Story
Holly is full of energy, super sweet, very intelligent, and a little mischievous. Once you win her trust, you’ve got it. But she is still a free spirit. Holly loves to run around. She is constantly on the move and looking for adventure. She needs a home that will allow her several hours of outdoors time a day. Whether that’s long runs/walks or time in a fenced in backyard. If you do not have a fence, that will probably be fine, but she will start testing the limits of how far she can explore. In my experience she always comes back if she does wander. Holly is house trained, but if she doesn’t get out when she wants to go - she will go in the house. And once she’s picked a “spot” that will be where you will always find accidents. She acts like a guard dog - you’ll always know when someone’s at the door. She wants to chase everything. And likes to wrestle and roll in the grass. If she feels cornered or overwhelmed she will act out/defensively.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Clyde is an 8 m.o. Belgian Malinois who, unfortunately, was recently hit by a car. As a result, he had his front left leg amputated and will be a Special Needs “Tripod” for the rest of his life. The good news is that nobody told Clyde this and, as far as he’s concerned, he will happily live out his life walking, running, jumping, playing, and wrestling just like all of the other dogs. He is smart, curious, and extremely affectionate with people and other dogs-he loves his “Snuggle Time”. Clyde is crate trained and will happily sleep through the night with no accidents. He knows some basic commands, but his new owner will need to continue his training. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and would do best in a multi-dog household where he can socialize to his heart’s content. His ideal owner will need to be very cognizant of his overall joint health and work to ensure that his remaining front leg remains healthy for years to come. At this time, he has not been cat tested. Clyde currently weighs about 44lbs., is approximately 1 years old (est. birth date 11/07/2024), and his adoption fee is $510. Clyde has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Clyde, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
