Moose is genuinely one of the sweetest dogs, but she has a very high work drive and needs more than we’re able to give her right now. She would thrive with someone who has the time, experience, and desire to work with her, keep her mentally and physically active, and give her a job to do. She also struggles with pretty significant separation anxiety, so I want to be completely transparent about that. She needs someone willing to be patient with her and work through it rather than expecting it to disappear overnight. This is not a “free dog to whoever wants her” situation. We love Moose, and finding the right home is much more important to us than finding one quickly. I’d love to see her with someone experienced with high-drive dogs who understands that she has so much potential with the right outlet and consistency.

The reason for rehoming this sweet boy is he deserves someone with experience who has the time to devote to his energy and training. ​Lori’s journey started in a high-kill shelter where she was surrendered alongside her puppies. Thankfully, that’s all in the past now! At just 2 years old, this resilient girl is ready for her own "happily ever after." ​Her foster mom recently ran a DNA test, and the results are in: Lori is 29% Australian Shepherd and 71% German Shepherd. Her "brilliant" personality makes total sense now! Lori is already house-trained, crate-trained, and a total social butterfly with other dogs.
