Handsome boy alert!Malfoy is a healthy, handsome young boy with a soft, thicker coat and love of playtime! He loves running around the yard and playing with a ball, but he also enjoys soaking up some pets and affection.Malfoy has liked meeting other dogs while at the shelter (bring yours along for a meet and greet!), knows "sit", and is treat motivated, and would probably love to use his brain for more training!Malfoy is what we call a "super holder", meaning he tries so so hard to hold in all his potty needs all day and keep his kennel clean and waits for any chance outside to relieve himself. That makes the shelter a hard and stressful place for him to be. Malfoy would feel so much better in a home - please consider meeting this deserving boy!

Story
Check out Summer, our beautiful Belgian Malinois, already enjoying all the “summer” fun. How has this petite girl not been adopted? Summer is an absolute blast and everyone enjoys her happy personality.  She is 2 years old, completed obedience training, gets along well with other dogs, housebroken / crate trained, enjoys walks and retrieving balls / bumpers in the water. Summer LOVES to race her Labrador Retriever friends in the water AND she beats them most of the time! We are looking for an active home with herding breed experience that makes their dog a top priority. While this high-drive girl enjoys her exercise and mental stimulation, she equally craves affection and downtime with her person. Please share Summer to all your working breed friends. Story
Have you ever wanted a pet that loves you and your family and no one else? That will adore you and their pack, but outsiders are viewed with caution? Well, meet Shirley. Shirley is a semi-feral pup. She was born apx May 2018. Shirley was trapped with her siblings by animal control. It will take patience and trust to seek human company.  Shirley is ok with most other dogs and is fine with cats, actually a bit scared of some of them. She loves our office kitty Dean and he loves her. She loves her toys; she will run around with them and do zoomies. She will bond with her family and be a devoted family member. All it takes is time and patience.  Shirley is available for foster to adopt. This will allow Street Paws to provide all the help and support their new family needs to begin their lives together. Ferals make excellent pets with just a little time. They usually are very laid-back and easy dogs once you gain their trust.  A home with a fenced-in yard or kennel for potty time is strongly encouraged. She is not an ideal dog for children. Contact us if you are interested in becoming a member of our growing Street Paws pack! She currently lives at our office. She has a doggie door that she uses to get into her outdoor house. She zoomies when she sees her caretaker arrive. Loves treat time! She likes to sneak the cat food bowls and take them to her bed. She did great with her recent vet checkup.  https://youtu.be/E8A4Ed-xgUg Shirley's adoption is limited to Metro Atlanta due to her needs and to allow us to assist in her transition, certain circumstances may allow exceptions. To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at https://streetpaws.org/adopting/dog-puppy-pre-adoption-application/. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. Our adoption fee is $250. They have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary, dewormed, have received flea prevention, and are micro-chipped. We will ensure the microchip is registered. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet. Story
Someone was dumping this sweet 8-month-old in a parking lot a few days ago. She is sweet as can be around all people and an extremely fast learner. In this short time, she has learned “come”, “crate”, and “sit”, even doing it off leash! We are working on “heel” and she’s showing fast progress. She just wants to make people happy so badly. She doesn’t even need treats, just rubs! She is fantastic around my loud kids (11&9). She has no food aggression at all (you can take the bowl or rub all over her face while she’s eating) despite being a skinny pup. She is a silly girl who just wants someone to love and make people happy. We would 1000% be keeping this walking or hide-n-seek buddy for my kids, but she has shown issues with our guinea pigs. She most likely will have the same reactivity to cats and since we have 2 blind ones, she has been stuck in the garage. She is a gem, but all shelters within 2 hours can’t accept any more. If you want a loyal, joyful, friend… she’s it.
