We really want to find Piper a home Piper is being fostered in Barney GA. Piper is a young mal cross. Piper is current on all his vetting. Neutered, current on vaccinations, and chipped. Great with other dogs and people. Piper would do well with another dog similar in size and energy level. (No Cats Piper would be a perfect dog for a home who has property. He would be a fantastic herding working dog. He has a wonderful temperament. Excellent prospect for herding cattle, sheep, goats (any livestock). Has exceptional ball drive but loses interest once the chase ends. Story
Mocha is a loving mature malinois.  She is fully grown at just under 70 pounds and she is ready to relax.  Mocha enjoys laying around the house and following her humans from room to room.  She would do exceptionally well in a home where her owner works from home and could spend lots of tine with her.  Mocha is currently in a foster home working on learning to love her crate for safety and basic commands.  While this girl is of mature age, she has not yet mastered "sit" on command.  Surprisingly, as a working dog, she doesn't really like to work. She is house trained and loves other people.  Shows no reaction to most other dogs, but seems to prefer to be by herself but will play with the other dogs in her home.   Mocha seems to defy the typical malinois energy and prefers lounging around to work and play. ##2285662##

Story
Hi, I`m Ferendi! I`m a lovable, ball-obsessed guy with a heart full of affection and a tail that curls just right. My absolute favorite thing in the whole world is playing fetch—I’ve got a serious drive for the ball, and I’ll even dribble it right to your feet with my nose like a pro. If you throw the ball, you`re instantly my hero!I`m somewhat active—not over the top, but I do need a good amount of playtime, especially if there’s a fenced yard involved. I’m also a cuddler at heart and love to snuggle with my favorite humans, big and small. I live with a 7-year-old in my foster home and I think kids are awesome. When it comes to meeting new people, I`m excited and interested, and I love making new friends. Around other animals, I’m a work in progress. I’m learning to be calmer on leash around dogs, but for now, I’d do best as the only pet. With time, training, and confidence, that could definitely change.I’ve got some cool guardian instincts, so I’ll give a loud bark to protect my home, but outside of it, I’m all friendly vibes. Loud trucks, bikes, motorcycles, even thunderstorms? None of that stuff bothers me. I’m crate trained, ride like a champ in the car, and I don’t mind bath time either.I already know basic commands and love learning new things—I’m super smart and eager to please. I might really enjoy enrichment activities like agility or nosework too!My ideal home would be one with a yard to chase my beloved ball, and a family who wants to keep building on my training and having fun with me. If you love the brains and loyalty of a working or guardian breed, but want a more easygoing version—I might just be your perfect match.I`m ready to be someone`s best friend for life. Could that be you?

Story
💗 Meet Sammie Jo: The Sweet and Smart CompanionSammie Jo is a loving and affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with her people. She thrives on attention and loves spending time with her favorite humans. However, Sammie Jo is a bit apprehensive around some people and other dogs, which can occasionally result in an unexpected defensive reaction.Sammie Jo is well-behaved at home and has excellent potty habits. She does great in a crate, both at night and during the day when her family is away. Feeding her in the crate has helped her feel comfortable and secure there. She is fantastic on a leash or harness, but a harness is the better choice for walks in new surroundings, as she may attempt to wiggle out of a collar when she feels frightened. Passing cars can sometimes scare her during walks, though she has made progress with consistent training and exposure. This smart girl quickly learned to sit and lay down with the help of treats, proving how eager and capable she is to learn new things. Sammie Jo would thrive in a home with someone who can dedicate the time and patience to help her overcome her fears and build her confidence. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate companion who just needs a bit of guidance to truly shine, Sammie Jo could be the perfect addition to your family.Barrow County Animal Control Shelter616 Barrow Park Court, Winder GA 30680Department Contacts:770-307-3012 PhoneADOPTION & General Info- animal@barrowga.orgFOSTER & RESCUE info-kpoe@barrowga.org Hours:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10-4:30Wednesday from 2-4:30Saturday 10-2

Story
When I first met Moochie at the shelter, she was curled up in the back of her kennel, shaking, silent, and scared of everything. She wouldnt let anyone near her, and it was clear life hadnt been kind to her. something told me not to walk away. I brought her home and gave her space, time, and patience. Slowly, she came out of her shell first a glance, then a tail wag, then one day she rested her head on my lap. Now, Moochie is the sweetest, most loving dog I know. She follows me everywhere, greets strangers with tail wags, and sleeps peacefully beside me every night. She didnt just learn to trust I think she finally learned what it feels like to be loved. And Im so lucky to be the one to give her that.
