Story
Blade is the biggest sweetheart but unfortunately is not suited for a baby in the household. He has endless energy and loves playing. He likes to chase cats and torment them but does not bite them. He hates baths but love belly rubs. He has his puppy vaccines but needs the rest. He is roughly a year old. He needs a big tall fenced in yard. And a spacious inside as he has no idea how to handle his own tail length. I'm hoping to find him a loving family that can give him all the time and love he deserves

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tide and his siblings were saved from a high-kill shelter in Calfornia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on Wednesday 3rd August.  We post our adoptable dogs across the East Coast and Canada so we can reach as many amazing adopters as possible and match each dog with their perfect home. Please note: We do not transport dogs. Approved adopters will schedule an appointment for a meet-and-greet at People 'n' Pets, Freeze Dried Goodies & Gear in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, where you’ll get to meet Tide in person — and hopefully take home your new best friend. If you think Tide might be “the one,” we’d love to hear from you! Health & Background &#226&#156&#133 Neutered &#226&#156&#133 Rabies and all core vaccines up to date &#226&#156&#133 Heartworm/Tick 4DX test: Negative across the board &#226&#156&#133 On monthly flea/tick preventatives &#226&#156&#133 Microchipped &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: potential 50-60 pounds Estimated DoB: 23 May 2025 Meet Tide Tide is truly an amazing boy. He has a full package of looks, personality, and yes — he’s a master manipulator! Even after multiple visits to the emergency hospital in Southern Maine, all the staff fell in love with him. One vet even emailed his information to a colleague in New Hampshire just to share what a special pup he is. Medical Background As a young puppy, Tide developed weakness in his legs and, at one point, couldn’t stand or walk. After several trips to the emergency hospital and various treatments, he was diagnosed with two growth-related bone conditions: Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD) and Panosteitis. Panosteitis (sometimes called “growing pains”) is a temporary, painful inflammation of the long bones that affects young, fast-growing dogs, particularly large-breed mixes like Tide. Symptoms include shifting lameness and discomfort in the legs. Panosteitis is self-limiting, meaning it usually resolves on its own as the dog matures, typically by 18–24 months. Treatment focuses on managing pain and rest during flare-ups. Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD) is another painful bone condition seen in fast-growing puppies. It can cause fever, swelling, thickened bones, lameness, and general discomfort. The exact cause isn’t fully understood, but genetics, nutrition, and infections may all play a role. Most dogs improve as they finish growing, and severe cases are treated with medications, rest, and sometimes hospitalization. Surgery is rarely needed. Tide is currently on prednisone to manage inflammation and pain, and he is thriving! Prednisone is generally used during flare-ups or when symptoms are more pronounced. As he grows and his bones stabilize, he may not need medication continuously — likely only intermittently for temporary stiffness during growth spurts. By around 2 years old, he is expected to be completely done with active symptoms from both conditions. Even when he couldn’t walk as a puppy, Tide’s sweet personality shone through. He would drag himself around to enjoy attention from vets and staff, and now he’s a playful, confident, and mischievous pup. He sometimes gets a little stiff during growth spurts, but these flare-ups are temporary, and he responds well to medication and rest. Personality & Temperament Tide is a gentle, loving, and affectionate pup. He’s full of confidence and mischief, loves attention, and thrives in an active environment. Despite his medical history, he is playful, curious, and completely puppy at heart. He enjoys interacting with people and other dogs, and he’s always ready to bring joy and energy into his home. Best Buddies Tide is inseparable from his sister Robin. Whether cuddling up for naps or getting into mischief, these two are always together. We would love to see them adopted as a pair so they can continue sharing adventures and companionship in their forever home. THIS IS A COURTESY POST FOR ANOTHER RESCUE.  WE ARE TRYING TO HELP THEM TO HELP BOSCO.  PLEASE SEE ALL THIS INFORMATION FROM THAT RESCUE.  WE HAVE NO OTHER INFORMATION.  PLEASE APPLY AT BFDAAA.COM BOSCO IS IN CRANFORD, N. J.  Bosco is only 18 months old and has already been through so much in his short life. Severely neglected to the point that Animal Control had to seize him. He came in so skinny and insecure. In the short time that he’s been in boarding with us, we have seen him really come out of his shell, and he is even a little goofy. He needs basic training and leash manners. He should be placed with an experienced Shepherd owner who will give him the life that he deserves. He’s a lot of fun in the yard and loves to play fetch. He gives wonderful kisses when he feels safe, and when he loves you, it’s deep. Bosco will make a wonderful pet for someone who understands his sensitive nature. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This gorgeous girl is Sadie! She is a 2 year old, 70 lb, Shepherd/Rottie mix. Sadie is a great family dog who sadly lost her home through no fault of her own.  She is a friendly and affectionate dog who was well taken care of. She has nice manners and knows many commands. She is housebroken too! Sadie is very playful.  She loves to play fetch and entertains herself nicely with toys. Despite being clearly confused and anxious in her kennel, she has been an absolute sweetheart to everyone. This girl belongs in a home with a family that can promise her forever and we hope to find it for her quickly.  Sadie would love a home with a fenced yard where she can run and play til her hearts content. Sadie is spayed and up to date on vaccines.  If you’d like to give Sadie the home she deserves, please fill out an application on our website at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to you to schedule a meet.  Sadie is located in Monmouth County, NJ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 6, 2025, 7:28 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Dante, an incredibly smart and affectionate Shepherd/Husky mix. At only 1 1/2 years old and about 50 pounds, Dante is still a baby with such incredible potential! Dante was initially purchased as a puppy by a family that had neither the time nor the space for him. He spent far too much of his young life in a crate. Since coming to Rescue Ridge, we have been working diligently with Dante and have learned what an amazing dog he is! He is extremely smart and has learned many commands. This is a boy who loves to work and is clearly looking for leadership. He is also very sweet and loving and loves to be pet. He needs plenty of exercise, but when his needs are met, he is content to lie by your feet. Dante is the kind of dog that will thrive and blossom in the right home. We are confident that in a house with a yard and a dog-savvy owner, Dante will be a wonderful, loyal, and loving companion. He may not have had the best start in life, but he has his whole life ahead of him- let’s get this boy out of the kennel and into the kind of home he deserves! Dante is neutered and up to date on shots. If you’d like to meet Dante, please fill out an application on our website at rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to schedule a meet. Dante is in Monmouth County, NJ in his kennel at Rescue Ridge.
