Story
This beautiful girl, Zuzu, is the mom to Sadie-J, Gus, Daisy, Teddy, Sky and Jazmin.  They were all found abandoned at a landfill in Texas.  Zuzu has taken her role as a parent seriously and has been a wonderfully patient and protective mother to not only her own puppies, but also to a few other motherless puppies that are staying at the same foster home. Our best guess is that she is around 3 years old.  She stands about 18-20" at the shoulder in height.  According to her foster, she shows several signs (like chattering her teeth when she gets excited) of having some Belgian Malinois in her mix. Not only is she a great mother, but she is also a very sweet and friendly dog.  She loves attention and listens well.  She has just been at her fosters for a short period of time but she already gets excited when she hears their car approach and she will come when called.  She is friendly with other dogs, and doesn't bother the cats and chickens that are living around her.  Help us find this great girl a new home, and apply to adopt her! Personality: friendly, affectionate, listens well Good with: people, dogs, and cats.  Has not been around young children yet. Training: unknown at this time Estimated age: 3 years Weight: unknown at this time, but she is about 18-20" from ground to shoulder tall Medical: will be vetted, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport. I was fostering him from a kill shelter. He is very sweet to me. He slept with me in my bed, follows me, etc. He play fights with my dogs. However, he hurt one of my cats badly and killed another. He would be best in a home alone, or maybe another dog. The vet he saw at the shelter said he didn’t do well with men, but he seems to be ok from what I’ve seen. No guarantees. Unknown about kids.

Zoey is, in a word, a lazy goofball. She loves to chill and sit around all day, just as she loves going on her two long walks a day. PLEASE READ: Zoey is not good with strangers. Once she has gotten to know you and knows you're not a threat she is the sweetest, calmest dog that just wants all the pets. But if she does not know you she is aggressive and potentially dangerous. Please only reach out if you have experience with dogs, do not have young children, and our willing to work with us to get Zoey acclimated to you before making the full transition. Zoey deserves all the love and care, and unfortunately we cannot provide that for her for various reasons. Please reach out with any questions.

Angel was a stray from the Vineland area along with her 8 week old puppy. She was likely simply dumped by her owner. She is a very smart, energetic young adult Malinois. She is sensitive and learns quickly. She is just about housebroken now. Angel will do better in a single pet home however she does love our tester dog Danny. They kennel together often by their choice but they are always fed separately. This breed is not for the faint of heart. Malinois are super intelligent and require a lot of exercise. Videos of amazing Malinois doing outstanding agility and obedience are shot after hundreds of hours of training. Angel does not have that type of drive and will excel as a family companion. She seems to love children and is not good around cats. Since she arrived here, she has spent many, many hours with the Director. He will screen any potential adopters to ensure a good fit. Angel has not shown any aggression towards humans and seems to really like children. She does look a little crazy when she is in the kennel building and strangers come in, but she is very calmn and loving in a home environment. Don't let her activity level in the kennel fool you. If she is not in her kennel when you come in, ask the staff because she has office privileges upstairs and may be with the Director in his office.
