Looking for a home for my niece’s dog. He is a 2 year old male mix breed Belgium malnois with unknown breed. He is small 28 lbs. We are looking for a forever home for him since he doesn’t get along with our two pit bulls. We have tried integrating them several times and he is aggressive towards them. He is very hyper and will do well in a home where he is the only pet. Preferably with someone who is active and not a couch potato. He loves to play fetch and loves snuggling. Rescued at 6 months old, I’ve lived happily with my family, enjoying walks, training, and affection. I’m smart, loyal, and very affectionate—friendly once introduced, protective, and good with kids and dogs. I still have some of that classic Malinois energy and enjoy daily exercise and play, but I also love relaxing and cuddling. Sadly, our family is growing with a new baby, so I need a new home. Angel was a stray from the Vineland area along with her 8 week old puppy. She was likely simply dumped by her owner. She is a very smart, energetic young adult Malinois. She is sensitive and learns quickly. She is just about housebroken now. Angel will do better in a single pet home however she does love our tester dog Danny. They kennel together often by their choice but they are always fed separately. This breed is not for the faint of heart. Malinois are super intelligent and require a lot of exercise. Videos of amazing Malinois doing outstanding agility and obedience are shot after hundreds of hours of training. Angel does not have that type of drive and will excel as a family companion. She seems to love children and is not good around cats. Since she arrived here, she has spent many, many hours with the Director. He will screen any potential adopters to ensure a good fit. Angel has not shown any aggression towards humans and seems to really like children. She does look a little crazy when she is in the kennel building and strangers come in, but she is very calmn and loving in a home environment. Don't let her activity level in the kennel fool you. If she is not in her kennel when you come in, ask the staff because she has office privileges upstairs and may be with the Director in his office. She would be a perfect fit for a family experienced with working breeds or one that understands the Malinois’ need for structure, consistency, and engagement. With regular training and a “job” to do, whether that’s obedience work, hiking buddy, or canine sports, Mariner will shine. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl.
