Story
Luna is a 2 year old Belgian Malionios. She is extremely loyal but will take time getting comfortable with new people. She has been through training for basic obedience. Luna can be aggressive and will need someone experienced to work with her and give her a space to let her run, play, and focus on a job assigned to her.

Story
Foster notes, 7/17/24:Shasta seems to be great with dogs as she gets along with ours and just wants to play. She does well with our chickens and even listens off leash (we live on acres ), and just runs in circles around you like a typical Belgian Malinois. She shows no aggression with anything, not even with food. Her only bad habit is jumping up and being mouthy with your hands, and she just needs some training with that. She also needs a lot of exercise, so I recommend someone experienced with this breed. She is scared of water and toys, and even water bottles, so we are trying to work with her on that. Other than that she is a very sweet dog!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Hi. My name is Jack. I am told I am both a handsome and well behaved guy. I  am completely obedience trained and fairly laid back. Although I do need a fair bit of mental stimulation, I am part malanois after all. I am good with adults and children, but I need a home with no other pets.   I am housebroken, up to date on all my vaccines and microchipped. My favorite things are going on walks, obedience training, and enjoying a nice chew bone. But my most favorite thing of all is to hang out with my favorite human! If you think I might be the guy for you, please put in an application.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Hi. I am new to the rescue. My foster mom will update when she learns more about me.For more information and to submit an application, got to www.arrfnc.com. Thanks!July 14, 2024, 7:08 pm

Story
Meet Matthias. He's a German Shepherd mix who weighs about about 92 pounds. His vet estimated year of birth is 2019. He is named after Matthias Jabs, the lead guitarist for the German band the Scorpions. And just like his namesake our Matthias is sure to be a rock star! Matthias is a great dog! He needs a 6ft fence. Good with most other dogs but likes to play and can be overwhelming for all but the highest energy dogs. He would be fine as an only dog with a very active family. He is good on a leash. His ideal family would have dog experience and be willing to work with him on exercise and daily training.   ~Adoption donation $250. All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and neutered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Visit www.ruffloverescue.com/adoption to make this pup a member of your family. July 16, 2024, 9:12 pm

Story
Copy and paste to view YouTube video: https://youtu.be/pzVaIBRF5a8?si=eO9bkUyYexhx6lZ1 Freebird was the dog that had been dumped near a busy interstate.  One of our Ruff Love volunteers heard about it, and worked to rescue the dog.  The dog was afraid and wouldn't come to people, so Stacy set a trap.  The dog became accustomed to her being nearby, and after 6 days of patience and love, Stacy was able to get this pup.  She named him FREEBIRD. Freebird has received vet care, good food, patience and love, and now he is ready for his forever home.  He's a German Shepherd mix.  The vet estimated date of birth is 11/22/2022.  He weighs 56 pounds.  He's goo with other dogs.  He's getting used to cats; he is curious about them, but not aggressive. ~Adoption donation $300 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and neutered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
