Story
Hi, I'm Luna! My rescuer found me outside a Walmart parking lot, hungry, injured, and confused. I pulled back my ears, gave him my "puppy eyes" look, and asked him to scratch my belly. It worked! I was rescued and soon was getting fed, watered, and loved. I'm mostly Belgian Malinois with probably a dash of German Shepherd. My attitude is mostly Malinois, but I'm able to relax a bit more than a pure Mal. My foster dad says this is a good thing because I can rest while he works. When I'm let out, I show my real energy! I love to run around in the yard and chase the squirrels back into the trees. I won't let those squirrels come anywhere near the ground! Back and forth from tree to tree like a jet plane! I'm a quick study for obedience, agility, and nose work. I've learned to find gloves anywhere in the backyard and little bags of spices anywhere in the house. I've learned sit, stay, down, touching a target stick. The more puzzling the challenge, the better! My injury has healed and now I'm learning an agility jump, too. I love to play tug of war and fetch, but my Malinois drive sometimes makes me lunge and I have a hard time giving up the balls and ropes. My foster dad is teaching me and I'm slowly learning, but my family will need patience, understanding, and consistency. I want to learn and am eager to please! I like to hike and walk, and I do well with my harness. I would be an ideal dog for anyone who wants to get into canine activities like scenting, agility, obedience, or anything else! I would be great for a hiking enthusiast, too. But I can also be a family dog as long as I get lots of training, walks, and backyard play. I am a Malinois at heart, so I need a main human willing to spend lots of time with me. To that human, I will give so much attention and devotion! I will always be ready for activities, but my foster dad is also teaching me an off switch so I will be able to live in a family home. If I sound like the perfect addition to your family and home, please click the adoption application and let's get going! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

🐾 Meet Waffles! 🐾 Breed: Belgian Malinois Mix Status: Spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions Waffles is a stunning, smart, and athletic Belgian Malinois mix looking for her forever family! She’s past the puppy stage but still full of energy and enthusiasm. This girl is incredibly sweet and eager to please, but she will thrive best with a breed knowledgeable owner who understands both the mental and physical needs of a Malinois. Waffles loves a good game of fetch, and she’ll happily play for hours if you let her. She has had professional training, which makes her a fantastic partner for someone who enjoys structure, exercise, and continued learning. Her trainer is also willing to work with her new adopters should they like to continue her training. Like many Malinois, she has prey drive and will definitely keep the squirrels out of your yard. With cats, she’ll need slow, careful introductions. If they run, she may want to chase. She does well with other non-dominant dogs, but proper introductions are important to set her up for success. If you’re looking for a loyal, athletic, and intelligent companion who will love adventure as much as she loves downtime with her people, Waffles could be the perfect match. Could Waffles be your new best friend? Apply today and give this amazing girl the home she deserves! 🚨NEW DOG. WHO DIS? MEET KNOX. 🚨 Knox is a 10 month to 1 year old Belgian Malinois—which means he is brilliant, athletic, exceptionally energetic, and currently operating approximately three bad ideas ahead of every human in the vicinity. He is essentially a puppy driving an adult-sized sports car with no brakes. 🫠 Knox is friendly, social, curious, independent, goofy, and into absolutely everything. He adores people, likes most other dogs, and firmly believes anything he can see, touch, carry, steal, investigate, dismantle, or launch across the yard is probably a toy. He is ridiculously handsome. He is incredibly smart. He is overflowing with potential. He is also not meant for someone whose idea of exercising a dog is opening the back door and whispering, “Go potty.” Knox needs an active, structured home that understands high-drive working breeds and will give his very busy brain and body appropriate outlets. ⚠️ Previous Belgian Malinois (or Dutch Shepherd) experience is required—no exceptions. ⚠️ We know he is gorgeous. We know everyone has watched a cool Malinois video online. We also know that loving how this breed looks is not the same as knowing how to live with one. Applications without previous Malinois experience will not be considered. If you have the experience, structure, activity level, and appropriate sense of humor required to live with this handsome furry tactical missile, apply on our website. Please share so Knox can find the experienced home capable of keeping up with both him and the criminal enterprise currently operating inside his head. 🐾 KL #16994

Story
Oscar is a sweet, comical and energetic young man who is loyal and loves kids. I acquired him from a rescue shelter when he was 9 months old after he had been in a prison training program where he learned basic manners and some tricks. Unfortunately, I am not able to provide him with the attention he needs and deserves. He's basically well behaved; I'm a bit older and simply don't have energy for him. I've also become busy with grandkids and a part-time job. The only problem with Oscar is that he doesn't seem to like other dogs and actually attacked my neighbor's dog once 2 years ago, which broke my heart. He didn't do any damage and maybe was just playing rough, but I'm really not sure No matter what, he's a sweet boy and is a lot of fun.

How is she still not adopted! Delilah is one of the sweetest and most loyal dogs here at the rescue. She’s been here way too long. She’s raised her last litter over 2 years ago and now she needs you to give her the love she’s patiently been waiting for. Pleae open your heart and home to her WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Delilah — A Loving, Lively Girl Ready for Her Forever Adventure 🐾🌟 Delilah is a Shepherd/Cattledog mix (best guess), born 10/01/2021, weighing in at a healthy 55 lbs, and bursting with personality, affection, and zest for life. If you’re looking for a dog who will love you wholeheartedly and keep you smiling, Delilah might just be your girl. She is sweet, affectionate, and eager to please, soaking up attention like sunshine. Belly rubs? Yes please. Cuddles? Absolutely. A game of fetch or a splash in the water? Even better! Delilah thrives on interaction and loves being part of the action. Delilah does great with other dogs and enjoys their company, though she prefers to dine solo — a girl likes her personal space at mealtime, after all. No issues with people around her food or toys, just a polite request for her own bowl. She’s still polishing up her manners (sometimes those paws get a little excited!), but she’s learning quickly and wants to do right by her people. Because of her energy level and curiosity, Delilah would do best in a home without cats and with a secure, tall fence. She’s an explorer at heart and would love an active family who enjoys outdoor time, play sessions, and giving her the mental and physical stimulation she thrives on. 🐾 Delilah’s Highlights: ✅ Born 10/01/2021 ✅ 55 lbs of love and personality ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and people-oriented ✅ Great with other dogs ✅ Loves water, fetch, and belly rubs ✅ Active and playful ✅ Eats separately from other dogs ✅ Needs a secure yard Delilah is the kind of dog who will make you laugh, keep you moving, and remind you every day how special the bond between a dog and their person can be. With the right home, she’s going to absolutely shine. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Delilah the loving home she’s been waiting for. 🐾💛

Meet Bo — A Sweet Senior Looking for His Safe Place 💙🐾At 10 years old, Bo has learned that the world can feel a little scary sometimes. He’s a timid boy who can become frightened when he’s outside, and when he feels overwhelmed, his first instinct is to head back inside to the place where he feels safe. 🥺But underneath that timid exterior is an incredibly sweet and loving boy who just needs someone willing to give him time, patience, and understanding.Bo finds so much comfort in the people he trusts. Once he knows you’re his person, you’ll have a loyal little shadow by your side. He’ll follow you around, seek comfort from you, and show you just how special he truly is.Bo may not be the dog who confidently runs up to greet everyone, but he could be the perfect companion for someone who understands that the best relationships are built slowly. Give him the chance to trust you, and you’ll gain a devoted friend who simply wants to feel safe and loved.📍 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388

Story
Meet adoptable Koda. Koda is a 3-5 year old mix of German Shepherd/Golden Retriever/Husky/Great Pyrenees who, despite his intense breed mix, is quite a gentle giant. Koda's baseline is a very loyal, loving, caring, gentle, non confrontational, and deeply sensitive dog. With all of the breeds mixed together, he has the best traits and features out of all of them. German Shepherd- He is very inquisitive, intelligent, and is highly trainable. He knows to stay, sit, both paws , and lay down. He wants to please his owners and enjoys mental stimulation puzzles. His favorite games tend to be food motivated where if you sprinkle some treats around the house, he loves using his big sniffer to find them. He also likes having jobs to do.Golden Retriever- His love language is proximity. He loves sitting next to you on the couch, on the floor in front of you, or at the foot of your bed. He is not a dog that demands pets and attention, and appreciates a couple strokes while sitting next to you on the couch. He is happiest when he gets to share the same space near you and take in the quiet moments together.Husky- This boy loves to go for walks and to sniff out the neighborhood. He has some vocalisms like a husky but nothing as pronounced or dramatic. If he needs to go out or wants to go out, he will boop the door handle with his snoot or come right up to you with a gentle tail wag and make a sound. When it snows, his Husky kicks in and he jumps around in the snow. Great Pyrenees- He is gentle and patient. He also likes to sit on an ottoman and watch the world go by. Koda is definitely a high energy guardian/working dog mix that needs a lot of mental stimulation, lots of physical exercise, and just wants to connect with you and be next to you. Also, if you go for a walk be on the watch for deer or rabbits...as he enjoys stalking them. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted companion who brings peace, sweetness, and quiet affection wherever he goes, Koda might be the perfect match for you. 🐾💙📍 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388

Meet Adoptable Ellie🩷Sometimes the sweetest dogs are not the ones who run up to greet you right away. Sometimes, they’re the ones who quietly watch, take their time, and need someone patient enough to let them discover that they’re safe. 🥺💕At just 5 years old, this girl may still be a little shy at first, but has so much love waiting underneath that cautious exterior.New people and new experiences can make Ellie a little unsure, so she needs a family who understands that trust doesn’t happen overnight. Give her some patience, a little time, and the freedom to come out of her shell at her own pace, and you’ll start to see the sweet and special girl she truly is. Ellie likes other dogs! She can be unsure when meeting them at first, so slow, patient introductions will be important. We're not sure how she would feel about cat siblings just yet. She would love a family willing to let her take her time and build confidence. And if you like a dog who has something to say, Ellie may be your girl! 😂💕 This sweet girl is VERY vocal and is not afraid to share her thoughts. She definitely has a special personality and she wants you to know about it!Ellie does not need someone to rush her. She needs someone who will meet her where she is, give her time to feel safe, and celebrate every little bit of progress along the way.Behind those shy moments is a loving girl just waiting for the chance to show you who she really is. 💗Could you be the person Ellie has been waiting for?🐾🏡
