Story
Meet Freya, a 9-month-old Belgian Malinois mix with a big personality and a zest for life. Friendly, affectionate, and genuinely happy to meet everyone she encounters, Freya is full of youthful energy and always ready to play.  Freya is still very much a puppy and will benefit from guidance and structure in her new home to help her learn boundaries, polish her manners, and channel her enthusiasm. Enrolling her in a puppy training class would be a great start. She’s not yet fully house-trained and is still in her chewing phase, so patience and consistency will be important. With positive training and engagement, Freya will grow into the devoted, fun-loving companion that exemplifies her breed.  Freya would do best in a home with active adults and/or older children who can keep up with her. She enjoys playing with other dogs, though her exuberance can be a bit much for smaller pups.  Freya currently weighs 25 pounds and will likely reach 35 to 45 pounds when mature. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, healthy, and heartworm-negative. Her adoption fee is $200, which includes six months’ of heartworm prevention. Story
🆘 URGENT – Chicago Needs Safety Now 🆘 Chicago came into the shelter as a stray after being caught in a trap, and it’s left her shaken and scared 💔. She is terrified of the leash, but once she’s out of the kennel and given a moment to breathe, her sweet, gentle nature starts to show. Chicago warms up with patience, enjoys human kindness, and is both dog-friendly and people-friendly. She isn’t a “problem dog” — she’s a frightened dog who needs reassurance, calm handling, and a safe place to decompress. Shelter life is overwhelming for her, and she urgently needs a foster or adopter who can show her that not all humans hurt and not all restraint means danger. ✨ Chicago needs out NOW ✨ PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152
