Story
Stella does good when she’s outside and inside. She loves to be in the sun. When she’s inside she loves to be in a cozy spot. She unfortunately doesn’t do well with other dogs. Stella is very teachable and already knows some great behaviors. Once she’s comfortable with the area she’s at she does great going out and doesn’t run away. She knows the basics like: sit, lay down, “give me your paw”, and no. When she’s not listening she’s is responsive when you snap your fingers and say “hey” firmly while pointing down next to you. That is a way of reprimanding her and she’s is very responsive to that sound. She will come to you and sit or lay down. She learned this behavior because she use to and some times still does come around the dinner table. If she is reprimanded with that action she listens very well. She loves the holidays, car rides, popsicles, and snuggles. Stella is amazing with kids and people with special needs. She is very smart and teachable. She is the biggest sweetheart.

Story
Meet Levi *****Belgian Malinois Adoption requirements***** The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. This is a breed that has very specific needs for an adoptive home. Because of their need for a high level of exercise, both mentally and physically and their need for ongoing training, only applicants with demonstrated owner/handler experience with this breed will be considered. The vast majority of them are not best suited as family pets, but in homes with experienced handlers knowledgeable of their needs and breed characteristics. We will not place in homes with small children or small dogs/cats. Levi is a young male Malinois estimated to be 2-3 years old. He came to Saving Paws from a shelter in CA. Thanks to the popularity of some recent movies, many people have bought Malinois puppies with great intentions and then weren't able to provide the kind of environment needed for a Malinois to thrive. Levi seems to be one of these and is looking for a second chance in a home that will love and understand him for who he is. Levi is an affectionate dog who loves getting petted and hanging out with humans. He has a high play drive and is happy with any kind of ball. Although Levi is socialized as a pet and bonds well with people, it appears that he was hurt by humans in the past and does not respond well to hard corrections. Levi is eager to learn and to work and would thrive with someone knowledgeable of canine behaviors and experienced with positive reinforcement training. He has great potential to be a really excellent dog for someone with the time and knowledge to bring out the best in him. Levi has behaved neutrally with other dogs residing at Saving Paws; this boy prefers human companionship over canines. Are you the special human who can provide a loving and busy home for our Levi? If you can give Lexi an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.org/adoption-form/ We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks. Thank you for your interest in saving a life!

These pups are in Queen Creek, Arizona too!

Story
She's a great dog. Super friendly and playful but my older male cat doesn't like her and it's become a safety concern for them both. She is amazing with my kids and my other German shepherd (5 yr old male) was great with her as a puppy but has gotten very food/toy/attention aggressive as she has gotten older. I just want her to go to a good family

Story
Gilly is finally ready for her new home! She is a little strong willed but she is very smart. She was picked up as a stray so we don't have any background information on her. She is probably around 3 to 4 years old. She likes to be the boss of the other dogs so she would do best if we found her a home where she is the only dog or with a submissive male. She has been very playful with the boys we have had her with but rough so she might be too much for smaller dogs. She would do best with an owner who has experience with big dogs and some training. Story
Frito was picked up as a stray, so we have no background information on him. Malinois are not a dog for a first time dog owner or somebody who lives in an apartment. They need room to exercise and somebody who will train and work with them. They are great dogs for an active lifestyle and want to do it with you. Frito has been neutered, is current on his vaccinations and has been microchipped so he is ready to go home now!
