Frito was picked up as a stray, so we have no background information on him. Malinois are not a dog for a first time dog owner or somebody who lives in an apartment. They need room to exercise and somebody who will train and work with them. They are great dogs for an active lifestyle and want to do it with you. Frito has been neutered, is current on his vaccinations and has been microchipped so he is ready to go home now! PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Hi, I’m Grover, a friendly and fun-loving Malinois mix boy who is looking for a new home. I don’t remember much about my past, but I know I was a stray in Yuma, Arizona until some nice people from animal control found me and took me to a shelter. There, I met some other dogs and humans who were very kind to me. They even arranged for me to get a ride to Phoenix, where I am now staying with the Central Arizona Animal Rescue. They are taking good care of me, but I really want to find a family who will love me forever. I am a neutered male, about 1 year old, and I have been vaccinated and microchippedI love playing with toys, especially squeaky ones, and I enjoy running around and having fun. I have lots of energy to burn off! I am very friendly and get along well with people and other dogs. I am not aggressive or possessive, and I don’t bark too much. I am also very smart and eager to learn new things. I am working on my leash skills and manners, but I need some more practice and guidance. I am looking for a home where I can be part of the family and get lots of love and attention. I would love to have a yard where I can run and play, or at least go for regular walks. I would also like to have some toys to keep me entertained and happy. I don’t mind if you have other pets, as long as they are friendly too. I just want to be your loyal companion and best friend. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Hello, my name is Destiny, and I’m a 3-year-old female Malinois in search of a new adventure with a loving forever family. I was found wandering with my friend Honey, and despite waiting for my owners, they never came to claim me. The pound was a stressful place for me, but thankfully, the kind souls at Central Arizona Animal Rescue have welcomed me with open arms. I’m a bundle of energy, as Malinois tend to be, and I thrive on attention, exercise, and training. Treats are my favorite, and I’m always eager to learn new tricks for them. I’m great with people, though I can be a bit assertive with other dogs. I’d do best in a home without smaller dogs or cats, where I can be the center of attention. I’m spayed, up-to-date on my vaccinations, and I’ve been microchipped. I’m all set for a family that can match my high spirits and zest for life. If you’re into activities like hiking and are looking for a loyal companion to join you, I’m your girl! Let’s explore the world together and create unforgettable memories. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new journey together. Let’s go on an adventure! PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Woof! Hello, Humans! I’m Lakota, the Malinois with a heart as big as the sky. Age: 8 years (which, in dog years, means I’ve seen my fair share of sunrises and moonlit nights). Breed: Malinois (pronounced “mal-in-wah,” but you can just call me “Lakota”). Energy Level: Picture a lightning bolt wrapped in fur. Yep, that’s me! I’ve got more energy than a squirrel on a double espresso. But guess what? I’m ready to dial it down a notch. Life’s too short to be a perpetual whirlwind. My Kennel Days: Ah, the familiar scent of concrete and the sound of neighboring barks. That’s been my world—the kennel life. But now, I’m dreaming of soft couches, sunbeams streaming through windows, and maybe even a cozy fireplace. A regular home—that’s my new frontier. Social Scene: I’ve shared my space with some burly male Malinois. Bros before bows, you know? But ladies? Well, let’s just say I prefer a testosterone-heavy environment. No drama, just tail wags and camaraderie. Battle Scar: Remember that time I tangled with a dog who thought my ear was a chew toy? Yeah, it cost me an ear, but I wear it like a badge of honor. Stitched up, healed, and ready to rock. My left ear is my conversation starter. “Hey, Lakota, what happened to your ear?” they’ll ask. And I’ll reply, “Oh, just a little souvenir from my wild days.” Health Check: I’ve been spayed (no more puppy surprises), vaccinated (I’m practically a walking pharmacy), and microchipped (because even a free spirit needs GPS). Why You Should Choose Me: Loyalty: I’ll be your shadow, your confidante, your midnight snack buddy. When you’re down, I’ll nuzzle your hand and remind you that life is better with a wagging tail nearby. Energy Balance: Sure, I can sprint like a cheetah, but I also appreciate a good snooze. Let’s take leisurely strolls, watch sunsets, and share secrets. I promise not to judge your dance moves. Ears with Stories: My left ear—scarred but resilient—holds tales of adventure. Imagine the conversations we’ll have around the fireplace. “Lakota, tell me about that epic battle!” you’ll say, and I’ll lean in, eyes shining. What I Need from You: Love: The kind that fills rooms and spills into every corner. Scratch my ears, and I’ll be yours forever. Patience: Transitioning from kennel life to home life might be like learning a new dance. But with your patience, I’ll twirl my way into your heart. Male Companionship: Bros, unite! If you’ve got male dog pals, I’m all in. We’ll form a pack, and our adventures will be legendary. Ready to Make Memories? Contact mike@caaronline.org and arrange a meet-and-greet. Let’s embark on this journey together—a pawprint on your heart, a tail wag in every chapter. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Gidget is an approximately 4 month old puppy. She is very high energy and the adopter should have experience with dogs. She and her litter brother came to us from Imperial County Humane Society all the way in California. They were found on the side of the street with momma dog, and no owner in site. Mom was medium sized. We did a rescue to rescue transfer because the Humane Society is booked up 5 dogs to a kennel. We expect they’ll be 40-50 lbs. Will be fixed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, by Jesse’s Dog Rescue.

Bull has spend many years as an outdoor dog until his owner could no longer care for him.  He has been living with family and is now an indoor/outdoor dog.  Bull is full of energy and loves a good game of fetch.  He is a smart guy and would do great with additional training, but he does have some basic skills such as sit, lay down and wait.  Although, Bull is living with another dog and cat in the house, they are separated and it is not known how he does with other pets. Bull can be very mouthy and has a tendency to nip.  He also does not like going on walks and knows how to slide out of the lead. Meet...Poppy! My favorite thing to do is Play! What makes me special is I am very smart and quick to learn I want my new owner to know I am a very very energetic and tenacious puppy. I can be intense when I play and I want my new owner and any new fur siblings to know that's just how I play. I will want a home with older children who can stand up to my puppy biting and jumping. Ideally 10+ I currently live with other dogs and cats, but might be too much for most kitties. If they stand up to me I am more respectful, but I will chase any that run. When I am feeling playful I like to... Chase balls, play with my foster dog brother. When it is time to rest I sleep In my kennel like a very good girl I am good with Dogs By nature I am...Energetic, Playful, Loud. July 26, 2024, 2:18 am

Gilly is finally ready for her new home! She is a little strong willed but she is very smart. She was picked up as a stray so we don't have any background information on her. She is probably around 3 to 4 years old. She likes to be the boss of the other dogs so she would do best if we found her a home where she is the only dog or with a submissive male. She has been very playful with the boys we have had her with but rough so she might be too much for smaller dogs. She would do best with an owner who has experience with big dogs and some training.
