Story
Hi, I’m Grover, a friendly and fun-loving Malinois mix boy who is looking for a new home. I don’t remember much about my past, but I know I was a stray in Yuma, Arizona until some nice people from animal control found me and took me to a shelter. There, I met some other dogs and humans who were very kind to me. They even arranged for me to get a ride to Phoenix, where I am now staying with the Central Arizona Animal Rescue. They are taking good care of me, but I really want to find a family who will love me forever. I am a neutered male, about 1 year old, and I have been vaccinated and microchippedI love playing with toys, especially squeaky ones, and I enjoy running around and having fun. I have lots of energy to burn off! I am very friendly and get along well with people and other dogs. I am not aggressive or possessive, and I don’t bark too much. I am also very smart and eager to learn new things. I am working on my leash skills and manners, but I need some more practice and guidance. I am looking for a home where I can be part of the family and get lots of love and attention. I would love to have a yard where I can run and play, or at least go for regular walks. I would also like to have some toys to keep me entertained and happy. I don’t mind if you have other pets, as long as they are friendly too. I just want to be your loyal companion and best friend. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
We absolutely LOVE Kiki, and will be sad to see her leave, but we are just too busy to properly take care of her. She's 2 1/2 years old, very affectionate, loving, bright, intelligent, and athletic. She's eager to learn, be trained, makes a great watch dog and is very protective of our house. We know whenever someone is even close to our perimeter, as Kiki lets us know. She only barks in times of threat, which is very nice, and which our neighbors appreciate. She has also made us aware of rattlesnakes, which we were immediately able to take care of. We wish we had the time to take care of her better. We're an elderly couple, and if we were younger, she'd definitely be a keeper!!

Story
Jellybean was adopted from the Maricopa County shelter when she around 9 months old from from my significant other. We had her for two years since then and she is just way too energetic. She is very sweet to any person she has come in contact with, even at the vet. She does have anxiety issues so we give her calming treats because she occasional scratches at her eyes. We took Jellybean to the vet they said it was allergies but, no antihistamines would work; calming treats do. We got another dog so she would have someone to play with. Jelly just plays a little rough and likes to jump on larger dogs. Jellys been around smaller dogs and larger dogs and seems to get along fine. Shes a loving dog who always wants pets and affection. We are looking for owners to take her in and give her a better quality lifestyle. I work a lot and my significant other is disabled. Jellybean is adorable, and we love her. I just know she will be happier with another owner who can spend more time with her

Story
Hi I’m Bo, I’m 2 years old and looking for a New Home. I’m a great well behaved loving dog. I’m calm and relaxed and love to eat. I am good with smaller dogs, I just haven’t quite adapted to bigger dogs yet like other GSD’s. I’m timid at first but once I warm up I will be the most loving and caring pet. I love to sleep and I’m kennel trained as well. I haven’t been around many pets or kids and also looking to learn how to go out on more walks. The outside world is fresh to me since I’m always around my siblings but my experience so far has been interesting and nice. My perfect family would be someone who can love me and spend time with me. I looking to find my person and my forever home. I’m not hyper active and mellow for the most part. I would love to learn new things. I will be good and love on you. Hope to see you soon!

Story
My name is Lucy, and I’ve been dreaming—truly dreaming—of the day I finally get to look into the eyes of the person who will call me family. I’m a German shepherd mix with soft, soulful eyes and a heart that’s been waiting patiently for someone to love. I’m about 50 pounds, which means I’m not too big, not too small… just the perfect size to fit into your life and maybe even your lap if you don’t mind a little closeness. My journey hasn’t been the easiest, but I’ve never let go of hope. Somehow, I got lost—one day I had a home, and the next I was wandering alone. The kind people at the Humane Society in Yuma found me and kept me safe. I waited there, watching the door every day, hoping my family would come back for me. But they never did. I didn’t understand why, but I kept believing that someone out there was still meant for me. The wonderful humans at Central Arizona Animal Rescue stepped in and gave me a second chance. They brought me to Phoenix, and now I’m here, tail wagging, heart open, ready to find the forever home I’ve been wishing for. Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a shepherd girl through and through—sweet, loyal, and eager to bond deeply with my people. I love hanging out with humans once I know I can trust them. I’m not shy, exactly, but I do like to take a moment to make sure you’re the real deal before I give you my whole heart. Once I do, though, I’m yours. Completely. I adore spending time with my new boyfriend here at the rescue. We play, we romp, we share secrets (mostly about treats). I’m good with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine friend in my new home. As for cats… well, I’m not sure I’ve ever met one, so that part is a mystery. Because I’m a shepherd mix, I do shed—honestly, I think of it as leaving little love notes on the couch. But with regular grooming, I stay sleek, soft, and beautiful. I promise I’m worth the extra brushing. I’m also an active girl who loves to move. If you’re looking for a hiking buddy, a running partner, or a companion for long walks where we can explore the world together, I’m your girl. I don’t need constant action, but I do need regular exercise to keep my body happy and my mind calm. I’m spayed, current on all my vaccinations, and microchipped so I’ll never be lost again. I’m ready—truly ready—to go home today. All I need is someone who sees me, really sees me, and wants to give me the love and stability I’ve been missing. If you’re looking for a loyal friend, a gentle soul, a dog who will look at you like you’re the best thing that ever happened to her… that’s me. I’m Lucy, and I’m waiting with hope in my eyes and love in my heart. If you’d like to meet me, please email mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment. I’ll be here, dreaming of the moment our paths finally cross.   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt.
