Story
Hi there. My name is Bandit, and I am a young, female German Shepherd with a little Husky mixed in. I’m already a big girl and still growing into my paws. Like most young shepherds, I am full of energy and excitement. I would love an active family that enjoys playtime and being outdoors. I love chasing a ball, chewing on bones, and playing with my brother and sister. My best friend right now is actually a Great Dane, so I can definitely keep up with the big dogs.
Stuffed toys don’t last very long around me. My favorite game is seeing how fast I can remove the stuffing and make it look like it snowed in South Texas.
There is an outdoor cat where I live now, but she prefers to keep her distance, so I am not quite sure how I would do with a friendly feline.
When it comes to people, I am a total sweetheart. I love to snuggle every chance I get. If you rub my chest or belly, I will melt right into your lap. I am also great with the foster grandkids who are 4 and 8 years old. Sometimes I get a little excited and accidentally knock the little one over, but I always apologize with lots of kisses.
I am house trained and use a doggy door. I am not crate trained yet, but my foster family is working with me on leash training and getting more comfortable meeting new people. I can be a little reserved at first, but with patience, encouragement, and a few treats, I warm up quickly.
My foster parents even had DNA tests done on my parents. My mom is 100% German Shepherd and my dad is 81% German Shepherd and 19% Husky, which explains my beautiful looks.
I was born on July 21, 2025.
I am spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines and preventions.
Now all I need is a loving forever family to call my own. Go ahead and submit an adoption application for me now!
