UNTIED FROM A TREE TO UNLEASH HER LOVE AND DEVOTION  DOB 10/10/21, weight 54# Hey there, everyone! I’m Isha, a very sweet and eager-to-please shepherd mix gal who socializes with everyone – adults, kids, and medium/ large dogs and small dogs as long as we’re properly introduced. From my outward appearance, it looks like my canine heritage has been herding sheep, and although I haven’t found any sheep in Houston, I have inherited the shepherdess’ intelligence, intense loyalty, devotion to duty, and untiring work ethic. I humbly believe that those four qualities make me the perfect canine companion! My previous owners kept me in their yard, tied to a tree where my friendly energy was suppressed. I was miserable, but thank heavens, the gardener noticed my plight and convinced my owner to surrender me to HOPE because they could find a family who would provide me a more enriched life. I’m so much happier interacting with all the people, dogs, and cats in my foster home as well as whom I meet on my daily walks! I’m proud to say that leash-training, housetraining, and kennel-training were all a snap. (Remember I told you that I’m very intelligent – just give me a job to do!) Now I’m ready to bring my sweet affection, lithe agility, and intrinsic devotion to bless my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today! I’m eager to be your perfect canine chum and to enrich your life as well as mine! HOPE ID D26-0325-0017 Isha’s $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. To apply online:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site that Isha will be this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you July 31, 2026, 4:02 pm

Story
Reina is a chill, loving, and smart dog. She learns tricks quickly, loves receiving pets, and takes lots of naps. She’s loves car rides and adventures. She’s just loves being with you. She’ll go on runs with you, watch movies with you, etc. She’s needs an experienced / ready owner. She’s a rescue, and I don’t know much about her past. She’ll warm up to people, and when she does she’s bonded with them for life, but she’s timid when meeting people, and is particularly scared of men. This fear has led to a few bites. All defensive and non aggressive - she runs away right after it happens. Most of these have been “Level 2” and haven’t broken the skin. The one the did just left a little dot. It’s an escalated warning bite. She’s territorial of food and toys around other dogs, and likes her space. If she has the space (dog park), she’ll remove herself if uncomfortable. If she doesn’t have the space to get away, she has barked and snapped at other dogs.

Story
I saw Zoe and her siblings on a FB post as needing help. I had an empty room and wanted to help sweet innocent puppies. The initial puppies finder brought them to me on the Friday before the Memorial weekend, 2025. Quickly the health of two of them declined and pass away one on the Sunday evening and the second on the Monday morning. Zoe beat the odds and survived whatever virus her siblings had found while living their short puppy life on the streets of Houston. Zoe now is 6 months old, eager to learn, playful bundle of pure joy. She is doing great with all the rest of the house pets, dogs and cats total of 11. The adoption fee covers the medical, food and other expenses for Zoe and other rescued dogs in my care.

Story
Meet Poptart — the happy-go-lucky little boy who got his name in the cutest way possible. He and his brother were rescued from a construction site where the workers had been feeding them Pop-Tarts. Despite such a rough start, Poptart turned out to be one of the sweetest, most loving pups you could ever meet. He’s goofy, innocent, and full of joy. When he thinks a treat might be coming, he’ll sit automatically before you even say the word — he’s that eager to please! He loves to play and romp around but is also gentle and respectful once he knows you. Poptart gets along great with other dogs after a little warm-up, and he’s easy to handle for baths, cuddles, and kisses. He’s still learning how to walk nicely on a leash, but with his love for food and his smart, eager personality, he’ll pick it up in no time. Poptart is the perfect mix of fun, sweetness, and loyalty — the kind of pup who will bring laughter and love into your home every single day.
