Story
Reina is a chill, loving, and smart dog. She learns tricks quickly, loves receiving pets, and takes lots of naps. She’s loves car rides and adventures. She’s just loves being with you. She’ll go on runs with you, watch movies with you, etc. She’s needs an experienced / ready owner. She’s a rescue, and I don’t know much about her past. She’ll warm up to people, and when she does she’s bonded with them for life, but she’s timid when meeting people, and is particularly scared of men. This fear has led to a few bites. All defensive and non aggressive - she runs away right after it happens. Most of these have been “Level 2” and haven’t broken the skin. The one the did just left a little dot. It’s an escalated warning bite. She’s territorial of food and toys around other dogs, and likes her space. If she has the space (dog park), she’ll remove herself if uncomfortable. If she doesn’t have the space to get away, she has barked and snapped at other dogs.

Story
I saw Zoe and her siblings on a FB post as needing help. I had an empty room and wanted to help sweet innocent puppies. The initial puppies finder brought them to me on the Friday before the Memorial weekend, 2025. Quickly the health of two of them declined and pass away one on the Sunday evening and the second on the Monday morning. Zoe beat the odds and survived whatever virus her siblings had found while living their short puppy life on the streets of Houston. Zoe now is 6 months old, eager to learn, playful bundle of pure joy. She is doing great with all the rest of the house pets, dogs and cats total of 11. The adoption fee covers the medical, food and other expenses for Zoe and other rescued dogs in my care.

Story
Lucky was about 2 months old when we found her behind a trash bin. She was wet, hungry and terrified of humans and didn't want to be touched. I took her to the vet and she has all her shots and rabies. She hides and runs from us and to this day she doesn't let anyone touch her. When we feed her, she'll lick your hand and run away. She needs attention from someone who can give it to her. I'm over 50 years old and I don't have the energy to take care of this puppy. I would love for her to go to someone who will love her and give her the best years of playing and dedication.

Story
Meet Dax!Breed: Teacup Shepherd/Pittie MixAge: ~1 yearWeight: ~30 lbsLooking for a sweet, snuggly sidekick? Meet Dax, a lovable Pittie mix who’s ready to steal your heart, and maybe your lap, too!Dax is a gentle, medium-energy boy who adores his people and loves nothing more than curling up for cuddles and giving soft kisses. He’s a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, you’ll see his goofy, affectionate personality shine through. He’s currently living with several other dogs (nine, to be exact!) and gets along great with them. While he’s shown a little food-guarding around human meals, he responds well to correction and has done beautifully with structured feeding routines.House & Crate Training:Dax is doing fantastic with his potty training — he knows to go outside and is great about holding it. He’s okay in his crate, though he’ll sometimes “chat” if he knows you’re home (he just doesn’t want to miss out on the fun!).Other Notes:Great with other dogsCats & kids: unknownWalks nicely on leash, no reactivity observedNo aggression or separation anxiety notedLoves toys, especially noisy ones (the crinklier, the better!)May indulge in a bit of backyard digging if left alone (he might have a little mole in him).Dax would thrive in a loving home where he can continue to build confidence and get plenty of affection. He’d enjoy having a friendly dog buddy to play with, but he’d also do well as the only pup if he gets lots of human attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, tenderhearted companion with a silly side, Dax is your guy! Dax is currently in a loving foster home in the Houston, Texas area. He is able to travel out of state!Adoption application: https://www.this-is-houston.org/adopt/adopt-application
