Story
Gunner is a four month old, 24 pound shepherd mix puppy who was picked up as a stray.  Gunner (the fosters call him Alf) is shy at first, and needs a slow introduction, but once he knows you, he is a goofy, playful, and cuddly puppy. He loves toys and playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He is doing great on potty training and sleeps through the night. Gunner is incredibly smart and will do best in a home where someone will continue his training. If you are interested in Gunner to foster or adopt, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com to fill out an application. FROM THE FOSTER:  Gunner just spent a few days at a “board and train” while his foster was out of town. While he was there he worked on some great basics like leave it/drop it, recall, confidence building, and general socialization. To see more about Gunners progress, follow this link. Calling all you Shepherd fans! Here’s a beauty, and he’s only 55 pounds! Saint is a two-year-old picked up as a stray by the shelter. He got great reviews at the shelter, and our vet commented on his smartness and the commands he knows. Saint is confident, playful, and full of personality. Rocky is a young German Shepherd - abouty 18 months old - who brings curiosity, drive, and heart to everything he does. We knew he was younger than his stated age when we put our hands on him at the shelter, but when he came to us, and his ears started to stand up, we realized that this boy is really just a baby! He’s eager to connect, loves to work, and is already showing us just how much potential he has. Rocky has graduated from our program, and is one smart boy! He needs someone who is dog savvy, and knows how to keep a smart young dog engaged, so that he doesn't come up with a job all by himself. :) If you’re looking for a bright, loyal companion with a big future ahead of him—Rocky might be the one you’ve been waiting for.
