Introducing Dulce! He was on an adventure when spotted and arrived to the shelter on 1/14. Dulce is 1 year old and weighs in at 60 pounds. He is stunningly handsome and smart. He knows to sit, stay and lay down when asked. Dulce loves his toys and his favorite are balls. Hw ill play fetch as long as you want! He will need a special family as he has tested positive for heart worm. He does have a limp and the staff are investigating. He is neutered and will be micro-chipped upon adoption. He has tested positive for heart worm. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Ritz arrived at the shelter in June of 2025 as a precious 6 month old German shepherd mix puppy who had been thrown from a moving vehicle. Luckily he was not injured and he didn’t let this dampen his sweet personality. Ritz was quickly adopted and but was returned to the shelter six months later by his family. Volunteers can't understand how they could give him up, but young dogs require a lot of attention and exercise and perhaps the family was too busy. Ritz is playful and knows how to sit, and he's eager to learn and be a good companion. He is up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and already neutered and microchipped. Come meet this sweet boy in kennel 833, his ID is 10114. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
