Story
Meet Chevy! Chevy is the most handsome 8 year old pup you will ever lay your eyes on! And he’s got the brains and personality to match! Which to be honest doesn’t always happen haha. He was surrendered by his family to the shelter with his brother. His brother was adopted but Chevy found himself left behind and set to be euthanized for space. When we saw he only had a few hours left we busted him out and I’m so glad we did. Chevy is going to make a family so incredibly happy one day. He is truly a unicorn dog. Going through our temperament evaluation there’s typically a few little things that come up…. Not with Chevy though. Every test we through his way he passed with flying colors. Truthfully it’s almost been a bit boring but he is certainly 100% good boy certified! -Good With Other Dogs. Has an “all out” play style. -Very Sweet and submissive with people. -House/Crate Trained -Leash/Obedience Work We Are Currently Working On. Definitely Had No Work Prior. -Demands belly rubs and he’s cute enough to where you will cave in and give them. -Lower drive GS -High Energy and social would be a great adventure buddy We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Meet Miyagi &#194&#150 A Gentle Giant Ready for His Next Chapter Miyagi is a striking 7-year-old German Shepherd weighing about 95 pounds, and he's ready to trade in his stray days for the comfort of a forever home. He was found on Hennich Lane in Rockwall County on January 3, 2026 with no collar and no microchip. After completing his stray hold with no owner coming forward, this handsome boy is now officially available for adoption. Miyagi is a sweet, thoughtful soul who can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but give him a little time, a calm voice, and a few tasty treats, and he'll show you just how gentle and loving he truly is. He takes treats politely, knows how to sit, and walks nicely on a leash. He's very food-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued positive training and bonding. Like many German Shepherds, Miyagi is currently being treated for a skin condition related to allergies and is responding well to medication. If he goes home before treatment is complete, his adopters will receive his remaining antibiotic and antifungal medications along with clear instructions so his care can continue smoothly. He also has some stiffness in his hips, likely age-related, and does well with a daily anti-inflammatory to keep him comfortable and mobile for walks, exploring, and enjoying time with his people. Miyagi is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Because we don't know his full history with other dogs, a meet and greet will be required for any home that already has a canine companion to ensure everyone is a good match. His adoption fee is $125. Miyagi is ready to leave the uncertainty of the past behind and start a new life filled with stability, love, and gentle companionship. If you're looking for a loyal, calm, and dignified best friend, Miyagi may be the perfect addition to your family. Apply to adopt Miyagi here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. Story
Meet Archie &#194&#151 A Diamond Dog Ready for His Happy Ending Hi there, I'm Archie! I'm an approximately 5-year-old male German Shepherd mix who was found near Ridge Road by Goodwill on 11/05/2025 with a friend, but sadly no one ever came looking for us. Even so, I've kept my heart open and I'm still hoping my forever family is out there. As of February 3, 2026, I've officially become a Diamond Dog, which means I've been patiently searching for my forever home for 90 days. To help me find that happy ending, my adoption fee has been reduced to $75. I may have started out a little unsure, but those days are behind me. Now I truly enjoy being around people and love spending time with my humans. Whether it's gentle pets, relaxing by your side, or just being part of your daily routine, I'm happiest when I'm close to the people I love. I seem to get along well with female dogs, and while I haven't yet met kids or cats, I'm open to new adventures with proper introductions. If you already have a dog at home, a meet and greet is encouraged so we can make sure we're a good match before heading home together. I appear to be both house trained and crate trained, though like any dog settling into a new environment, I'll do best with patience, consistency, and a predictable routine to help me feel secure. My $75 Diamond Dog adoption fee includes my neuter, microchip, and core annual vaccines. I did test heartworm positive, but my treatment is fully covered thanks to the incredible support of Rockwall PAWS, so my future family won't have to worry about that expense. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be by your side and finally have a place to call home, I might just be your guy. Apply to adopt me at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ I've been waiting a long time... and I can't wait to meet you.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
