Story
Meet Chevy! Chevy is the most handsome 8 year old pup you will ever lay your eyes on! And he’s got the brains and personality to match! Which to be honest doesn’t always happen haha. He was surrendered by his family to the shelter with his brother. His brother was adopted but Chevy found himself left behind and set to be euthanized for space. When we saw he only had a few hours left we busted him out and I’m so glad we did. Chevy is going to make a family so incredibly happy one day. He is truly a unicorn dog. Going through our temperament evaluation there’s typically a few little things that come up…. Not with Chevy though. Every test we through his way he passed with flying colors. Truthfully it’s almost been a bit boring but he is certainly 100% good boy certified! -Good With Other Dogs. Has an “all out” play style. -Very Sweet and submissive with people. -House/Crate Trained -Leash/Obedience Work We Are Currently Working On. Definitely Had No Work Prior. -Demands belly rubs and he’s cute enough to where you will cave in and give them. -Lower drive GS -High Energy and social would be a great adventure buddy We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Meet Archie – From Homeless to Homebound Archie is an approximately 5-year-old German Shepherd mix who is ready to leave his past behind and finally step into the life he deserves. Once found running stray and never reclaimed, Archie has spent 156 days waiting as of 04/10/26 for someone to choose him. Now a Diamond Dog, his adoption fee has been reduced to just $75- but the love and loyalty he offers are priceless. Archie's story is one of quiet resilience. When he first arrived, he was a little unsure of the world around him. But with time, patience, and care, he has truly come into his own. Today, Archie is a loving, people-focused companion who enjoys being close to his humans, soaking up attention, and simply sharing space with those he trusts. He has a calm, steady presence that makes him the perfect match for someone looking for a loyal best friend rather than a high-energy puppy. Archie appears to be both house and crate trained, making his transition into a home even smoother. Archie does well with other dogs and especially prefers female or calm, respectful companions. He enjoys peaceful coexistence and would thrive in a home that matches his relaxed, easygoing nature. A meet and greet is recommended to ensure the best fit. Archie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is heartworm positive, but his treatment is sponsored by Rockwall PAWS-giving him every opportunity to return to a happy, healthy life. After months of waiting, Archie is ready to trade the uncertainty of being homeless for the comfort of being homebound- safe, loved, and finally where he belongs. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will quietly steal your heart and never let go, Archie is waiting to meet you. Story
Meet Muñeca Muñeca is a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing approximately 53 lbs who is ready for a fresh start with a patient, committed family. She was found as a stray and taken in by a kind family, but due to space limitations, they were unable to keep her. Now she's looking for a forever home where she can continue to grow and thrive. Muñeca is still building confidence with people and is continuing to become more socialized each day. While she may need a little time and patience to fully open up, she is a sweet girl who is learning to trust and feel comfortable in new environments. She is very social, good with kids and gets along well with other dogs. In fact, she may benefit from having a confident canine companion in the home to help her continue building confidence. A meet and greet is recommended for homes with other dogs to ensure a good fit. Muñeca would not be a good match for a home with cats or other small animals. She has also been around children. Muñeca has not yet had formal training, but she is very smart and has grown so much in her leash training and walking. She is eager to continue to learn and with consistency, positive reinforcement, and patience, she has all the potential to grow into that confident, well-mannered companion you've been looking for. She would thrive in an active home that can provide structure, routine, and continued training. Muñeca is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination and basic boosters, and has tested heartworm positive. Thank to Rockwall PAWS, Muneca's course of treatment is sponsored making sure that she has every opportunity to live a happy, healthy life. Her adoption fee is $125. Apply to adopt at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ If you're looking for a smart, loyal dog and are willing to give her the time she needs to blossom, Muñeca may be the perfect match for you.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Meet Bodhi Bodhi is an approximately 18-month-old male German Shepherd mix weighing around 72 lbs who is ready to find his forever home. He was found off Horizon Road near Rockwall Custom Frames and, sadly, was never reclaimed. Now he's looking for a fresh start with a family who will include him in everyday life and give him the love and stability he deserves. Bodhi is a friendly, social boy who enjoys being around people and has made several dog friends while at the shelter. If you already have a dog at home, a meet and greet is still recommended to ensure he is a good fit for your home. He has also shown gentle, curious behavior around cats—often laying down calmly in their presence—which speaks to his respectful nature. He keeps his kennel clean and does not destroy toys or bedding, which are great signs that he may already be potty trained or will transition easily into a home with consistency. Bodhi walks well on a leash and would benefit from continued basic training to help him grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. At heart, Bodhi is a loyal and attentive dog who thrives on companionship. Whether it's going for walks, spending time in the yard, or relaxing with his people, he is happiest when he's included. Bodhi is neutered, microchipped, and current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters. He has tested heartworm positive, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his treatment can be provided at little to no cost to his adopter. His adoption fee is $125. If you're looking for a loyal, friendly companion to be part of your daily life, Bodhi may be the perfect match. Meet Bear Bear is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix (52 lbs) who is ready for a fresh start after being surrendered. While change hasn't been easy for him, Bear is slowly showing just how sweet and gentle he truly is. He can be a little shy at first, but with patience and a calm approach, his personality begins to shine. As he gets more comfortable, Bear warms up and enjoys being around his people. He has been friendly with staff, walks well on a leash, and already knows how to sit- he's just waiting for someone to help him continue building his confidence. Bear does well with other dogs, and a meet and greet is always recommended for homes with existing pets to ensure the best fit. He would thrive in a calm, patient home that will give him the time, understanding, and encouragement he needs to fully come out of his shell and feel secure.
