Hi! My name is Blaze and I am available for adoption!I was brought in as a stray, but my owners surrendered me on July 17, 2026 when they learned of my whereabouts.I am a medium to large breed dog and I weigh 66lbs. I am a bit overweight, so please keep that in mind when making my food!I am an older guy who is go-with-the-flow. I am potty trained, but at my older age I need a strict potty schedule to help me avoid any accidents. I am very fluffy and affectionate, but I am good at doing my own thing if I have a routine.I have been in foster since July and this is what they have to say about me, `Blaze is quiet, leash-trained and very food motivated. He`s low-keyed with other dogs and is shy when meeting new people. In spite of his age, Blaze can be quick on his feet and still likes to play with toys. He enjoys being outdoors and taking long car rides. When given the chance, Blaze loves a good roll in the grass on his back! Although hearing impaired, he responds to loud noises and hand gestures. He is most at ease in a quiet household where he receives gentle pets.`A note from the vet:Your new pet received a basic physical exam, in addition to routine vaccines, deworming, and topical flea preventative, if indicated. Although your new pet is ready for adoption, there is always a possibility of additional medical conditions that have not been detected or may develop in the future. Current medical conditions are noted below.1) This pet came into us overweight. His body condition is 9/9 (1/9= emaciated, 9/9 = obese, 5/9 = ideal). We recommend following up with your primary veterinarian to discuss a healthy weight loss plan. Your veterinarian may recommend senior blood work and urinalysis. 2) This pet is senior at 11 years old. Many pets at this age have arthritis or joint related illness. He has recieved a basic exam here at the shelter and would benefit from a review with your veterinarian to keep him as healthy and comfortable as possible. Additional care for these conditions may be needed after adoption. Please follow up with your regular veterinarian.

Hunnie is a beautiful 3-year-old female German Shepherd Hound mix with the sweetest personality! She is a super loving, affectionate girl who absolutely adores meeting new people and is wonderful with everyone she meets. Hunnie weighs 65lbs and is wonderful with all dogs and could be OK with cats. Foster has one and she doesn’t seem to mind her so slow intros for sure. Hunnie is also excellent with other dogs and absolutely loves having canine friends! She is wonderful with children, making her a fantastic family companion. She would love nothing more than to be by your side, hanging out, cuddling, and soaking up all the love she can get. Hunnie is a wonderful girl who is ready to find her forever family. Hunnie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Located in Portland and available to meet anytime-Hunnie will be transported soon to the Tacoma area.
