Story
COURTESY POST but applications through CompassionForPaws.ca Benny wants to be your Adventure Buddy! Benny Bear is a beautiful 1 1/2 year old marble male Bengal with charisma, charm and character! He was abandoned in a park and after about 10 days on his own, he found his way to his current home. He walked right in, devoured some food and settled in for a 24hr recovery sleep. Finding out that he was abandoned and rejected broke his foster mom's heart, so instead of dropping him off at a Humane Society to wait in a cage, she kept him in her tiny home, took him to the vet and poured some loving on him. Benny is an easy-going, friendly boy who loves to explore the outdoors with you. He loves to climb trees! He will scope out the best tree, get some distance and then zoom, up he goes! He tolerates and secretly enjoys the spontaneous love mauling and belly rubs. He looks for cuddles at bed time and will purr and shower you with affection. In the morning, he looks for more cuddles 10 minutes before your alarm goes off and won't let you sleep in too long. He would suit someone who is home more often and can get him outside with either a catio, supervised on a leash or out for those adventures! Bengal experience preferred, but thorough research is essential if not. Benny would do well in a house where he is the only cat. He might do ok with older children and dogs, but I think it would be best in a quiet house. I would like to see him go to someone who has Bengal experience and who will love him and keep him active outdoors and get him into a better routine. A catio, frequent walks and supervised backyard time on a leash would do him wonders. If you think you might be Benny's new bestie, apply online at compassionforpaws.ca

AD HOC (moved to foster):Can Mbappe score your heart?Mbappe the soccer player is well-known for his speed, skill, and goals! Mbappe the cat is more than happy to keep up that legacy.ABOUT MBAPPE- In foster- Both at EHS and at the overcrowded municipal shelter Mbappe came from, he has shown that while he loves people, he can get overstimulated quickly and resort to nipping/biting.- At the shelter, Mbappe is given a puzzle feeder to help slow down his eating, which also gives him an opportunity to use his brain.- Mbappe loves to chat about anything and everything! He’s a vocal cat who likes to yap about what’s on his mind.- Mbappe is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on core vaccinations.MBAPPE’S IDEAL HOME- We do not know how Mbappe does with other cats. Nor do we know how he is with other animals or dogs.- Due to his tendency to bite when he’s overstimulated, Mbappe will not do well with young children.- Typical to the Bengal breed, Mbappe needs stimulation. Whether that’s with play sessions throughout the day or other activities to stimulate his brain, such as puzzle feeders, variations of toys, and even learning new tricks! Potential adopters should be prepared to dedicate the time to provide Mbappe with the stimulation he needs.- Mbappe needs to go to a home with an experienced cat adopter who can read cat body language.Mbappe would love to be your buddy, chatting and showing off his playful skills! Apply to adopt him today! If you have any questions about Mbappe or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com

Story
Bend it like… Bengal?Meet Beckham, a very handsome and charming superstar who’s ready to be your very own MVP. Beckham arrived with a team of five, all-star, Bengal cats who were surrendered due to a change in their owner’s living arrangement. ABOUT BECKHAM- In foster - Beckham is a big, friendly snuggle bug who accepts pets by hand and will lean in for more affection, rubbing his head on human hands and legs. He’s been described as “scoopable” and “foldable” and loves to be groomed. - This bouncy boy loves to play! His foster mom has a mountain of toys for him, and he plays with them all. His favourite is chasing toy balls (of course!), playing with the feather wand toy and his big red slinky. Oh, and his shoe boxes, more balls, some socks, his mousey, the donut, and his cat tree. He will definitely keep you laughing with all his silliness! - Beckham is a social eater. Family dinners, please! This charming fellow loves to have company while enjoying his meals. For that matter, Beckham will sleep and nap with his humans, whenever allowed. - Fun fact: Beckham’s coat is so stunning that he actually appears to shimmer when the sunlight hits him just right. His foster mom speculates that he might be part-Siamese (if you please) due to the shape of his ears, but without pedigree we can’t be sure. We can certify that he’s 100% handsome. - He does tend to door dash, but can easily be picked up and brought back. Beckham seems to enjoy being held, so maybe that’s his motivation? - He has a tendency to eat dirt, so potted plants beware! This is an unexpected habit from such a fancy-looking gentleman.- Beckham, true to his breed, will happily have a “conversation” with his humans, meowing in response when spoken to. Perhaps he’s giving us a play-by-play of his day? - Beckham is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations. BECKHAM’S IDEAL HOME- Beckham must be the only cat in the home.- Bengals are a highly social breed and Beckham would be happiest in a household where there are multiple family members with whom he can interact and play. Case in point: when his foster family watches TV, he’s right there snuggled up on the couch. - Beckham gets along well with the school-aged children he’s met and lived with. He’s been known to “supervise” craft time, and of course he’s always ready to pile on for a nap. - His compatibility w
