Story
Nala’s next chapter!Nala is a rescue who is ready for a fresh start. ABOUT NALA- At shelter- Beautiful Nala is a brown Bengal mix with a curious and mysterious personality.- Nala is a skittish cat who has minimal experience with humans. - She’s a confident girl who knows she’s a stellar feline, but she struggles to trust people.- Nala isn’t comfortable enough to be touched yet, although she has progressed from hiding out in her cubby to hanging out at the front of her kennel, observing everything around her.- She will run away and hide if approached out in the open, but if she’s behind a barrier, such as her kennel door, she’s becoming braver.- Nala is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people. - Nala is incredibly vocal, especially while on “out time” from her kennel. She loves to walk around the shelter, meowing at volunteers and telling the other cats exactly what she thinks of them (unfortunately, she’s not a fan!). - She sometimes looks intrigued by the wand toy when it is offered, and volunteers suspect she has quite the playful side when she isn’t feeling overwhelmed by her surroundings. - Temptations treats are proving to be a great tool to motivate Nala and build trust with her. - Nala is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.NALA’S IDEAL HOME- A skittish cat like Nala will benefit most from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children or dogs.- Nala does not get along with other cats, preferring instead to be the sole feline of the household.- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Nala settle into her new environment. If needed, EHS will offer post-adoption support to assist Nala with a successful transition to her forever home.Nala’s next chapter is just beginning, and she will need a safe and supportive environment as it unfolds. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to resilient Nala

Not good with dogs, Not good with cats,
Story
This is Sterling. Do you see that twinkle in her eyes? It’s a fun mix of playful, chatty and mischievous energy all in a small exotic cat package! Sterling is a 2-year-old girl who may be a Bengal or a Bengal mix. Her striking good looks may have you see past all the fun she enjoys around the home! This girl LOVES water play. Her foster family shares that if you leave a toilet seat up, Sterling will be in there to play with the toilet bowl water. If that’s not available, this athletic girl also knows to find water in the sink! Sterling is very social and likes to follow her people around the home chatting about her plans for the day. Sterling has an adventurous side and craves exciting new ways to explore the world around her and every part of the home. Sterling will need a home and family who know how to handle her liveliness and energy. Sterling lives in foster care with other cats and a cat-savvy dog, and seems to get along with them. She loves to groom the younger kittens! If you know about Bengal cats, you know they are a unique cat breed that will need a special home. An experienced home that will provide her with mental and physical stimulation to keep her high energy from getting too pent up and know how to read her behavioural signs. Sterling found herself with Home at Last Rescue when she was found abandoned at a garbage dump, pregnant. She was a great mom to her babies, but now it’s time for her to find her forever home at last. This charming girl is ready to inspire you to play, get moving, and share in some lively fun. If you enjoy the company of a curious and clever cat, Sterling might be the perfect companion for you. As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.

Story
Tiny is a silver Bengal and she`s got the personality to prove it! Tiny is one of our hard to place pets due to her more self-centered personality. She enjoys being the center of attention, she loves cuddles and head scratches! If she sees an arm or hand moving (even in the middle of the night), it becomes her toy so owner should be aware that she should sleep in her own room until they get to know her. She`s not fond of other animals and gets quite upset if she sees one, so a home where she`s she only furry friend would be preferable to her! Her complete medical includes spay, rabies, core vaccines, microchip, flea treatment, dewormer, and FIV/Felv test (negative). We have lowered her adoption fee to $50 so we may find her Furever Home 4 the Holidays!
